Mesh network versus a simple Wi-Fi extender
Mesh is superb in my experience. But as others have stated, hardwire when possible.
Solid state to tube
My tube experience is mostly with vintage components - Marantz, Fisher, HH Scott, Mac. While I own substantially more SS pieces, I can’t get over how time and again my favorite combinations are tubes with horns. It’s true. Whether tube receiver or...
CD player suggestions...
Rotel CD11 Tribute is an excellent player for the money, priced at $599.
Roger Waters Live Last Night in Glendale,AZ
I won’t see Roger again after his last show was overshadowed with his political views. Took away from the music in a significant way. Poor showmanship IMO but it is his right to be a buffoon and others can decide whether to support him by buying h...
Most economical way to ship large speakers?
Agree with above advice, try UShip. I had an awkward pair of Dahlquist DQ-10s brought from Chicago to Tulsa for half what others were charging.

I use 2 pre in one of my systems. Have a McIntosh C52 and utilize a fixed output from the C52 into a C20. It provides the best of both worlds- modern solid state and vintage tube. And both can operate driving different pairs of speakers individual...
Please recommend speakers for 45 watt SET amps

A comparable phono preamp
I highly recommend the Sutherland offerings. They have models to meet a variety of budgets and provide tremendous value with wide range of impedence and gain adjustments.
Creedence on vinyl
The 50th anniversary half speed pressed at Abbey Road Studios is a gem. I believe it’s available as a box set or by individual album.
can I connect 2 sources directly to power amp (one XLR one RCA)
I have done this on a McIntosh MC462, which has a selector switch on the back. It worked. But when I unplugged the XLR cables, volume on the RCAs increased significantly. I’m unsure why?
Klipsch Forte III Test
So satisfied was I with the Forte III’s that I purchased a pair of Forte IV’s as well. The IV’s have more refined mids IMO. On the right amp, I have not experienced listening fatigue as is sometimes the case with horn drivers. The Forte pair wonde...
