want to try a SET but where to start, I have......
Marco- I thought I would put him in less expensively since he is experimenting though I have to agree with the power supply point. The Cary seems a bit much to start with but will certainly supply the SET magic in full range. With the less expensi...

The Decware Zen amps sound wonderful for around $400-$500 used or $700 new at 2-6 watts per channel. Nice start in the SET sound. Many never go further than Decware Zen. Antique Sound labs AQ1005DT is a nice 300b sarter amp @ 8 watts per channel. ...
Who out there is using the KAV-250a or KAV-250a/3?
I used a KAV-250 to drive VonSchweikert VR-3's, a speaker requiring some power and control to sound its best. It handled the job admirably but also showed me Krell was not the sound I was seeking. Great bass and accurate reproduction but the life ...

Omega speakers
I have Omega TS2's that I occassionally use in my second system that are paired with a Dayton Titanic 10" sub. Seems to be a good match. The Titanic is a sealed box unit. It is very quick and clean without the overhang you get from a ported sub. V...
Am I missing something?
You are fortunate and probably not obesessive. I have fiddled with a system that grew to two systems then to three for about 5 years now. I experimented to find those things in audio whose sound was most pleasing to my ears. There is so much varie...
