Revel F30 vs Revel F50 vs Used Revel Studios If the waf is an issue, you have to go with the f50 over the studio. That design fits in with no style factor my wife is familiar with. Recently I traded up to the f50 due to the combo of sound and style. Good luck.
Nautilus owners upgrade to what? obviously, it depends on your other equipment as well as your music preferences, but I have B&W Nautilus 803 as well as totem mani 2, revel f 50 and aerial 8b. I like/love them all, but for different moods. The aerial is a little smoother than...
Recommended SS AMP for under 1,000 Read on... rotel is a pretty safe bet at these price points. good value can be had at over 200w per channel and I think you will find it smoother than adcom given my direct experience with both. good luck.
Aerial 10T replacement? thanks beemer. I think the 20t is more upscale (over 15k). I have been led to believe that the 10T replacement is in the 10k range.
monitors for EAD Encore + PM1000 I highly recommend Totem Mani2. I have the same amp preamp and love them, especially in the nearfield. I think you can do them for less than 2k. good luck.
Need Suggestion on Good HT processor new or used? lexicon is always a good bet if HT is your primary use. MC1 on an upscale basis, dc 2 if not.
It's a Bad Movie, But It Was Fun to Watch Anyway I cannot leave without mention of all the Steven Segal movies. If you are an action fan, a decent way to kill 90 minutes. If you are a classics major in college, reach for whatever liquor you prefer.
Best DVD plyr for under 1000 new or used ? You might want to try the Sony 9000es. Great DVD progressive and sacd -2ch-as well. Clearly below 1000 new as a new model is coming, used about 600 here.
Best Amps for Totem Mani-2's? I have good success with both the bryston 4bst and the ead powermaster 1000 in home theater settings. The speakers do need current, more than power. You could always try the rotel and see if it works for you. Used bryston is always available on th...
My first amp purchase Used Bryston is a very safe bet, especially with the 20 year warranty.
Aerial Speakers for Music and HT Rather than get involved in the debate, i will just share my own experience. I have several HT systems, one of which is Aerial 7b and cc3 with Bryston and Lexicon amp and processor. I am extremely pleased with it, espeically in the ht mode, which ...
Hsu or yamaha sub? You cannot possibly go wrong with the hsu. I have used it favorably against subs three times the cost. I have not used the Yamaha, but I am sure you will like the Hsu. good luck.
Would love opinions on my HT puzzle Hard to disagree with the above luminaries. If you can match at least the front three speakers, I would. Owning the Aerials myself, I would tell you that going with the 10 t and the center would be a good fit. Similarly, if the Thiels fit your tas...
B&W 803N/ any comments? the 803's are a very different sound than the pcs. Warmer midrange, and more dynamic and also less precise. You probably couldn't have a different set of sounds. Having said that, the Krell would probably fit better with the B&W than the Thiel...
Help I need some speaker suggestions Depending on your elecronics and budget, you may wish to check out items like the Totem Forest, Legacy classic, Coincident Victory or B&W 803. All very different, but I have enjoyed the various mfg, and all have much better dynamic prescence t... |
