Perfect Path Total Contact no longer?
Has anyone who owns the product thought further about having the contact enhancer analyzed to find out what’s in it.  I normally wouldn’t suggest reverse engineering a product, but in this case is it ethical, legal, possible?Seems like we lost a g...
Best songs to test speakers
I love Rickie’s POP Pop, and it’s bass can get a bit overblown, and can be a good test for control.  This thread reminds me I have to try it with the latest Directstream Dac software and EtherRegen . I have it on the Alto LP but would love a hires...
The FULL REVIEW: Inakustik’s AC-3500p power station and LS-4004 Speaker Cables
Loved seeing the inside pics of the 7000. I think having energy stored inside the unit to deliver more amps than available from the wall (for very short peakes) is something worth having for use with amps.
AVAA Active Bass Traps
I got to hear the PSI that was in a demo room at the NY audio show a few months back. Like an idiot I forgot to ask them to turn the unit off to hear the difference, (I realized after I had left). The bass did sound good in that room, and I was de...
Damping Plates
Micheal Green used to sell these roomtune platforms that you’d place around your component and adjust the pressure being exerted the effectively tune the resonance inside the component to your room/system/ears. Eventually he extended the concept t...
Perfect Path Total Contact no longer?
Not to be macabre, but does anyone know what he died of? Is it possible that manufacturing the product created a health hazard? I was planning on ordering as well, but held off until I got my dedicated line ready to be installed.
Axe to grind know it alls
I think one of the annoying things is that some of the inflammatory topics could be discused in a productive way.  Take a recent post about speaker companies putting out new designs ever year or so.  Legit Topic but posted in a way that doesn’t le...
Axe to grind know it alls
Yes I feel the same way, so much so that I posted something completely absurd a few days  in the hopes that it would prompt some changes, if nothing else just to have some sort of ignore function.
Why you want upsampling and upconversion in a server and why it sounds way better!
While I enjoy Dave and Troy’s posts and listening opinions, on this one I’m also going to have to disagree. As a video pro I can say that analog video cannot compare in any way to digital video. However we all know that analog audio still can be be...
Furman IT Ref 20i - Hums/Buzzes
Thats utterly rediculous that they won't fix out of warrenty repairs.Perhaps post your problems (and poor customer experience) on gearslutz so the pro audio world (their primary customers)   is aware of this horrible policy.  That forum probably h...
New Place - What Would You Do?
If you're going to use the double height space for audio (I happen to have high ceilings and love it) you could easily hide some sound absorption in the area where the plants are currently, and the flat surfaces above that.  Thats a lot of surface...
There's a lot more bass in a 6.5" driver than most of you think
I'm not sure if this is applicable, but something I have noticed. When my next door neighbors (several throughout the years) would play their small systems, it was quite audible in my space.  However, I've played my system, which obviously has much...
Do I need a sub?
I suppose most A’gonner’s live in suburban houses where bothering neighbors isn’t as much an issue for city dwellers like me. You might however have to contend with bothering people in the house. Bass is the hardest thing to contain as bass waves ...
Martin Logan Classic 9 vs. Impression 11A - sound impressions and burn in question
Feel free to read something I posted earlier tonight regarding 'stats and PM me if you want.https://forum.audiogon.com/posts/1876621
Truly High Efficiency, High Quality, Nearfield Usable, Affordable Speakers, Do They Exist?
Normally I'm not a fan of whizzer cone single driver speakers, but that is often what is paired with SET's.  The thing is, for near field listening, you want a point source speaker.  And these single driver speakers are that, so he's in luck in a ...
