A Copernican View of the Turntable System
Halcro, Geez I pushed a button there and shouldn't have, I apoligize. All good points. I'll say it again, the idea wasn't presented as a do all end all pod and thought you took it to the extreme for what it was. Other than that I apreciate your inp...

Lew, I'm looking at the the V2D series ball contact, have not purchase them yet. Open the pdf and eBay listing to get a better look. Their description is contradicting in some areas to me so a call to them will be done before purchasing. I like th...
A Copernican View of the Turntable System
Lew, I have been fighting for a solution with my slate plinth in the footers area to combat floor-borne vibrations. There just aren't any in the market that provide the proper height, decoupling, height adjustment, or a way to mount them. I recent...

Halcro, your a tough cookie when an idea is presented that is not yours. That idea wouldn't pass that test for sure but I was looking at a temp approach for others to test your nude project. I'll let them be the judge if it would be rigid enough t...
A Copernican View of the Turntable System
Halcro, I was looking at this easy idea for those to try a remote armpod out which has been promoted here as opposed to your concrete idea. I can see having more sucess with this than the concrete. Beyond Chris and Corby I don't think there has be...

Dre, I'm not going this year but might I suggest at a preset time to take about 10-15 min to allow everyone quickly to say their name and monikor.I went last year but ended up just eating at the bar instead barging around (interrupting conversatio...

Banquo363, didn't realize it was adjustable until reading here a few posts back.
A Copernican View of the Turntable System
I spent some time in the room last year at RMAF. There is nothing I can say bad about this table but recall being stunned about the pricetag when hearing it. I was more impressed than not at the craftmanship and sound. As most know it is hard to tr...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Raul, don't think you would disappointed with the IRCs for a attenuator. At 80+ resistors price would still be up there. If I had to do it again I would go with this attenuator instead and give the IRCs a try on the phono input. http://www.khozmo....

My experience doesn't say they will outperform, just haven't done a comparison. If you try them let us know.Brad
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
They are known for low noise hence the reason for using them. Used them on a goldpoint step attenuator that replaced a pec potentiometer. This was a huge upgrade not necessarily related to just the resistors.I think these would be the next best th...

Thanks Raul, I'm working on a dip switch arrangement for loading to be added to a 2 to 1 phono switch. If this works out alright the plan is to add this inside my current phonopre. If anyone is interested I will post more when finished.Brad
