Nude Turntable Project
Been out of pocket dealing with the remnants of Isaac. So sorry to hear about your phono stage, hopefully there will be a quick turnaround. I feel bad that it was my idea that caused your problem, for that I apoligize, although it sounds like you ...
Nude Turntable Project
What is the cage made of? I always thought that if I could find one of these tables to play with that it might be a good idea to have a disc cut out of plate, .125" to .250", of the same material that the chosen pod material is to attach to the bo...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Oh Nikola, your studies of Frege have ruined you, joking. One must adapt to understand foreigners in their own context and not look so deep into it. Sorry for the goosebumps but you have created your own misery. Glad you have chosen to live.

Ditto Raul, gracias. Look foward to Axel's reply if it isn't a simple yes no answer. The fitment of the tube would be my concern. The original having a stylus guard and aftermarket not might be a benifit if it gets Axel's blessing.

"It comes with a non original (aftermarket) stylus. Do you think that will affect the re-tip process?""Dear Jbthree: IMHO you need an original stylus."I asked this question awhile back but did not get a response. Raul, what is your opinion as to w...

Nikola, I didn't mention I wouldn't ship outside of my country, not sure why you brought that up. I wouldn't have a problem shipping a item to Axel or SS. You my freind have been lucky if you haven't had any such horrors and are probably in the mi...

Axel and SS being retippers, that is the advantage. Preferring one over the other is another story. One could ship the whole assenbly to SS too if elected. Shipping horrors is another problem if not properly packaged that can cause damage to the c...

Add a s and do another search, lol. What he is offering is no differant than you buying a replacement stylus assembly for lets say a AT20SS that previosly worked but has a broken cantilever.

one advantage is it sounds like you wont need a carcas, you wont have to send your frame in to be fitted.

Resistor location isn't as important as is where the ground for the input is which should be close to the tube.Dover, allot of vintage schematics are that way where they have a switch with multiple eq's.

Yes Lew I know you know. The option to have 50k,75k and 100k should cover all. As Timeltel says some carts you will wish you had options other than 100k. Hope your project works out for you.

If you use a 100k and a 300k on your first two contacts of the rotary it will give 50k and 75k as a result when paralleled with your 100k.

Lew, this is how I setup a dip switch. 1-8 on the dip are added to a 100k resistor that is fixed at the input. http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h69/ecir38/tonearm%20input%20switch/?action=view¤t=dipsettings.jpg
Audio Desk Record Cleaner-Anyone buy one yet
Cto007, ultrasonics creates its own heat. Additional heat would probably ruin vinyl. One of the benifits of ADS systenm is it goes through a cycle of different frequencies which create large and small bubbles to get to all the areas of the vinyl.

Nandri, didn't imply that you have a problem. Just thought the video pertained to some of the discission here and a hint of a way to test resonsance.Try a direct link this time.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zwZbsFBBXO8
