Is it possible to shield unshielded speakers?
I'd wait until I was sure there is a problem. If the speakers are screwing with your picture, then follow Ozfly's advice and see if you can replace the drivers with shielded ones.Lastly, you can buy some sheet copper and try to fashion the shield y...
Is it possible to shield unshielded speakers?
You COULD shield them but the shielding would (probably) have to applied to the outside of the cabinet. Why not use your current speaks for surrounds or a bedroom system and get new shielded ones?

Where to get marching band recordings?
I'd start by contacting any university known for their band. They probably have recordings to satisfy alumni demand.I'd like to obtain some Scottish Tatoo recordings or fife and drum for Fourth of July. This music can be very intense and inspiring!

Metal speakers. How are they?
Materials don't (shouldn't) matter. At an introductory seminar (Rosine Audio -Skokie, IL), Arnie Nudell (founder of Infinity and Genesis speakers) was asked if diamond coated drivers would sound good replied: "Drivers made of horse-shit would soun...
