| Have any of you ever replaced Magnepan 1.7 or 1.6 tweeters? If you buy new Magnapans, you could disable (remove?) the tweeters from the old ones and keep the remainder for bass reinforcement. BTW, how far past the warranty period before the failure? | |

| Dac upgrade? I use a Rega DAC which, to me, is very satisfying. Are there better? Of course but the Rega has a nice "analogue" flavor, many filters to play with, a large variety of inputs and can be had used in the $500 - $600 range. | |
