| Hafler DH-110 better than receiver preamp??? I had a dh110/220(power amp) and also a pioneer elite vsx26 surround sound reciever. WHen compaired the hafler combo was cleaner with more mid responce and base punch a much better 2 channel system. | |

| Best relatively Compact Speakers in $2000 range?? I can suggest Tyler Reference Monitors, used about $1600.00 with stands, just a fantastic detailed speaker with workmanship on the cabinets as nice as it gets. Plus Ty the owner is very easy and plesant to work with. | |

| McIntosh and Autoformers. . .? I own the 202 and use it with tyler ref moniters along with a mcintosh c37 pre, I feel its a great combo, plenty of punch, never bright, great detail. I would love to own a 352 or 402 but would get a hernia just moving it. | |

| searching a new pair of speakers I own the silverline's, a very detailed speaker. They would work well with your music taste, I use them with all solid state equipment. Their primary use is for home theater and DVD audio. Hope this helps. | |
| mcintosh mc 202 VS. McCormack dna 225 I can not compare the two, but I own the Mcintosh 202 and find that its powerful warm and detailed. One of the big plus's with Mcintosh not only is its reliability, but its value at resale. | |
