How Do I Delete Low Bit Rate Songs From My Library
"I'm really glad he liked Tom's answer the best.Zd542"Ha ha! A kiss on the cheek would probably suffice, but square on the mouth? Yikes!
Network digital players--any good?
If I was going to spend that much I'd just spend a bit more and get the PerfectWave and get the network and preamp capability plus a better DAC all in one. Some of those other network solutions very likely have compromises but I would bet the Perf...
Network digital players--any good?
I believe the PS Audio Perfectwave w/bridge would be another (likely better) option but you'd be looking at slightly over $2000 used for the MKII and a few hundred less for the MK1. The one's you are looking at are likely very decent options for y...
Computer for Squeesbox Touch
I've got a SB Touch system, hardwired, and wanted to get the playback software off my main PC. I use the LMS for the SB, of course, and JRiver for my computer set-up. I just got an Asus EEE Box and I love it. It's smaller than my router and mounts...
Soooo many choices.
Just another option....If you order the Schiit (or any DAC) from audioadvisor.com you get a no-hassle 30 day return policy, free shipping, no re-stocking fee and just pay return shipping. You can also often find returns there for a substantial dis...
Schiit Gungnir DAC - anyone have one of these?
07-11-13: Rrog"Hard to listen to? Glare? I find this hard to believe."Feel free to post your thoughts on how it sounds to you. Like I said...lots of people seem to like it.
Schiit Gungnir DAC - anyone have one of these?
A lot of people seem to really like the Gungnir so maybe it just wasn't synergistic with my system and/or to my preferences. Like I said earlier, it had some 'wow' moments, and yeah maybe dynamics have something to do with it. The NuWave just soun...
Schiit Gungnir DAC - anyone have one of these?
OK....here goes my credibility :^ /Ming Da MC88-C integrated (KT-88 tubed w/active pre-amp), SB Touch w/ Welborne P/S and EDO installed, PS Audio NuWave connected to Touch via custom USB w/ separated power conductor, NuWave to integrated via Blue ...
Schiit Gungnir DAC - anyone have one of these?
If you try one get it from someplace like Audio Advisors so you can demo it for a reasonable period of time without risking much. I think I have a fairly laid back system due to my tube integrated and although the Gungnir gave me some 'wow' moment...
Are some of us losing our minds over upgrades??
I, personally, have never 'got' buying an inferior component and then spending big bucks for supposed upgrades when that same final dollar figure could get you something well designed and well implemented in the first place.
Internet radio stations that sound really good
I absolutely love Radio Paradise. They cross a number of genres but, at the same time, they seem to hit on the tunes that can successfully cross over and be enjoyable to everyone. Listener supported, commercial free. It's the only station I feel t...
DAC for entry level system
I don't have balanced inputs on my tube integrated so just the unbalanced.
DAC for entry level system
The NuWave for $600-$650 would be used. I recently got a mint unit for under $650 shipped. Some people got them for $695-$795 new w/ trade-ins so if you are patient you can find a great deal on a used one.
DAC for entry level system
If you are considering the PS Audio DL III for ~$400-$450 I'd look for a good deal on the much newer NuWave for ~$600-$650. If you are moving towards PC audio the NuWave has a great USB section (I'm also using a SB Touch, w/ EDO USB to USB). I tri...
Question re: Ming Da MC 88-C integrated biasing
Hi Butsy.....I've been extremely happy with this integrated so far. I got in on Ebay for around $550 and put about $200 into new tubes. I went with a quad of the JJ KT88's, a quad of NOS Amperex 12AU7 orange globe (USA made) and am having the best...
