Furutech / Air Tight LP Flattener - do they work?
` I currently use the VPI outer ring and it works extremely well. However if there is a warp, even thou the outer ring keeps it reasonably flat, you can hear the warp. Considering you get these things for under or around the $1k mark - I believe t...

Yabol It may also be puzzling that you are playing 99c LP's on a 10k plus turntable. Not sure exactly what your point is. It would depend on how many LP's you currently have as well. Very expensive to return US or Euro presssings from Australia. B...

New Schroeder Turntable
I heard it at CES. Looks like a DPS, however Frank said that was only superficial. Honestly, the systems that it was playing in was low power Atemis tubes and it did not sound very good as it would distort anytime you turned the thing loud or if i...
Aethetix IO Signature Question
What I mean by noisy is tube rush when used with LOMC's. Using only tubes for 60db+ of gain is very difficult. I am sure owners of the IO will chime in giving you some options of NOS tubes to reduce or remove this effect, however with the stk tube...
Cartridge for Naim ARO
I have used a dyna Te-kaitora & XV-1 with great results in my ARO. Also an AT OC9 sounded unsually sweet with the ARO
Aethetix IO Signature Question
The IO Sifnature is a wonderful, great sounding phono stage with only one potential issue. Tubes rush noise. Used with LOMC's it was noisy in my system when I was playing a reasonable volume, so I had to rule it out. If you play a lower volumes, ...

Ncarv I bought the Linn new in 1985, had it upgraded etc and frankly can't bear to sell it as it was the Linn that forged the analog way for me. The Linn is competitive or better than the HRX in treble smoothness and has a nice tight PRATty bass l...
Can you Listen to Vinyl Casually??
Cincy_bob Please don't give me another reason to spend more money!!. I'll skip the SOTA CD player for the moment and keep playing CD's for my kids or in the car where they belong.
Can you Listen to Vinyl Casually??
Eldartford. Once sentence - clean your LP's. no debris on my stylus, unless the record is dirty. Try doing that with a dirty CD - It won't play.
What's the best Phono preamp under $1000??

VPI JMW9 Sig toneram cables - what do you use?
personally I have had my VPI 12.7 arm wired in copper, not valhalla. Only because Valhalla is ruthless on your system if it has any weaknesses. I do however use Valhalla cable between phono stage and TT and it sounds amazing.
Modwright,SWP9.OSE,Audio research PH-7 phonostage
The ARC PH7 is a wonderful sounding phono pre amp. It is close to teh best phono stage i have heard. Its only real issue is the lowish gain of 57.5db. If you play music at normal volumes you may be able to get away with using a LOMC - say about .3...

Thomas You have got me intrieged about the sound of the Lamm LP2 with Kondo SFz. Could you elaborate on its sound?. ie classic tube- rich and vibrant, a bit cooler? given the Lamm MM stage doing the first step of amplification. Does the Kondo SFz ...
