Krell KPE vs. Aesthetx IO Sig. With the highish output Clear audio - noise should not be an issue - only music. enjoy
Thoughts on Phantom vs Copperhead? Speedy I think you all ready know what Halcro thinks about the copperhead. But seriously, can you friend afford to get another SOTA and try them head to head?? Other than that, in several months I might be able to compare both on the same table an...
SOTA vacuum or no? HI Raul"That was one of my first impresions when ( many years ago ) I try for the very first time the Vacuum hold down record but I learn that that " air " was not a real sound in the recording but most a distortion part with out Vacuum" How do yo...
SOTA vacuum or no? Yo Speedy As they say. You are only as old as the girl you are "feeling" me, my hands are not that steady, so I use that thing called the arm cue. goes and up and down and guess what - safe to use as well. outer ring or no outer ring
SOTA vacuum or no? I have never read anywhere where a VPI user has ruined his cantilever by using the outer ring. The point I was trying to make, using the outer ring is as easy and as safe as not using the outer ring on any table. Rccc, do you own a VPI outer ring?...
SOTA vacuum or no? I have been using the VPI outer ring on my rig for 4 years now and it is easy as apple pie to use as it locks onto the platter and will not move unless you lift it off the table. It is easier if you have room next to your table to place the outer ...
Furutech / Air Tight LP Flattener - do they work? Speedy, Lucky I have such thick skin :>)) The LP manual was quite clear. First use an LP of no real value to try your LP flattener as the manufacturer is not responsible for any damage to your records. I thought of using my original UK pressin...
Furutech / Air Tight LP Flattener - do they work? Yea, I was going to start off with 60 minutes, but the vinyl is closer to 180gm's than 120gm's so 90 minutes was the better start off choice. WE don't want to over cook these vinyl pizza's do we :-)) I'll find some skinny 120gm vinyl and see how 6...
Furutech / Air Tight LP Flattener - do they work? My DF-02 was delivered yesterday. Unpacked it, put my warped/dished "Wolfmother" LP into the unit. You can select 60, 90, 120 or 150 minutes heating time. the Wolfmother LP is about 150gm's, so I selected 90 minutes and closed the lid. The LED dis...
Is it questionable to buy new popular music on LP? I am with Albert here. Yes it is worthwhile buying new release vinyl and i buy a lot of vinyl. It does piss me off that vinyl is almost a yuppie boutique product now. The new radiohead US LP does not sound very good, so i cvan only guess how bad t...
New Re-Issue Vinyl: Surface Noise, Ticks, Pops.... Sorry Viper but I can't resist. " best of Diana Krall" is an oxymoron if there ever was one :-))
New Re-Issue Vinyl: Surface Noise, Ticks, Pops.... I buy a lot of New Release vinyl and frankly the pressing quality from the US sucks. The new Portishead double LP is a prime example. Dishing or warps in the vinyl seem to my biggest problem and the US copy of portishead is no different. I have no...
Furutech / Air Tight LP Flattener - do they work? Speedy Yes, If you are talking about the ebay listing. I asked and 17kg shipping is quite expensive - hence the $240 shipping. Don't forget you will need a step down transformer to bring the US 120 vlts down to Japan 100 vlts. the same4 vendor sel...

Do McIntosh amps work best with McIntosh pres? I believe the Mac amps will work well with any wello designed pre amp. My 2102's certainly work well with my cj pre amp. cheers |
