@mijostyn  Thats great news - perhaps you could play Reference Recordings RR12  "Gates of Dafos"  at 120db and post it on youtube.
How important is the cable between the SUT and phono pre?
My laymans understanding of the scenario is that because the MC transformer converts high current low voltage LOMC to a higher voltage low current signal exiting the transformer an interconnect with high capacitance between the transformer and MM ...
3 New UBER Decks - Is this Turntable's SwanSong? 🦢
Another poster wrote:  every DD I have heard sounds thin, lacking body, are grainy or have a grey wash through the sound, possibly due to error correction servos. Seemingly these DDs were not good examples of the technology ie made to a price, a...

You want well shield and low capacitance. But at the end of the day just try your best cables - you ears will tell you what works. You want no buzz hum or noise.
Turntable upgrade recommendations: SME vs AMG vs Technics vs other
Dear @dover @drbond  : In that SME review comparison exiast a very important difference that's that the 15A comes with the inferior 309 tonearm but my advise to the OP is to buy the 15 with the V tonearm. The SME 20/3 has a much more substa...
Turntable upgrade recommendations: SME vs AMG vs Technics vs other
@drbond  After your earlier thread on amplifiers and preamps it was great to see you have purchased the Ypsilon amps - they are excellent. With regard to the SME 15A versus the 20/3 - the 20/3 is a decent step up in resolution, solidity, and sou...

Looking For A Dialogue Around Using An Ortofon MC2000 In My Current System
@neonknight  Just a little info that may be of help. I have owned Dynavector arms ( along with many others )  for 30 years and have used them with a variety of cartridges. The Dynavector has high effective mass in the horizontal plane, and lower...
Silver v Copper wire phono cable
@frogman Silver is, verifiably, a better conductor than copper. Wires conduct. With all the concern over other minutia of differences in many other areas of system building and insistence that those minutia make audible differences (many do, IM...

Interesting information from Analog Planet on Stylus Cleaner Onzow Zero Dust.
When I was with the Garrott Bros many years ago they showed me on an electron microscope the crap in most cartridges in for repair - The most common and worst 2 problems were minute pieces of carbon fiber from either record or stylus brushes and ...
Silver v Copper wire phono cable
@frogman Dont forget that the 3 cables you compared AN, Cardas & Discovery are vastly different constructions - AN is a 3 wires litz per conductor, Cardas is a multistrand variable size litz, Discovery multistrand uniform size ( not sure if ...
Silver v Copper wire phono cable
This whole conversation of silver versus copper is nebulous. Far more important is the actual phono loom construction - for example, is the cable twisted pair plus shield ( my  preferred construct ), coaxial, balanced, etc The electrical paramet...

@mijostyn @dover , Are you saying the Schroder is causing my feedback problem? If so that would fly in the face of the obvious. If I lift the dust cover or close off the bottom the feedback stops. I did nothing to the arm. The feedback is bei...

@mijostyn I was just about to buy one of those Oswald Mills Audio K3’s. Actually, it is the only way you can get one of those arms. Actually you can build it yourself, it’s an old audio amateur design, here is an example https://darklanter...
