These seem a bit pricey $$$
I’m reluctant to disparage these speakers without listening first, and, as a retired cabinet and furniture maker, I absolutely loved the enclosure, particularly the crosscut top veneers. Beautiful!! But I am with bigkidz: criticism of the pricing ...
Why do no audio enthusiasts use McIntosh?
I think your premise is erroneous, except for the parenthetical fudging that they might not "admit to it".  About the same time that this thread was started, I experienced a paradigm shift.  I'd been building Heathkits since the early 70's, add...
Who else here is frugal?
“whenever I attend a Symphony Concert I realize that no home system could ever reproduce the sensation of being in a large hall.”we have friends whose seats at the Myerson Symphony Hall in Dallas sport a brass socket embedded in the floor, a socke...
Recommendation for an audiophile speaker cord that is not "bright"?
+1 for Lowe’s 14-2 zip cord
Hey K.....tt, Do you even have speakers??
Carpathian, you are the rarest phenomenon: a sane audiophile.
Hey K.....tt, Do you even have speakers??
Carpthian, you’re correct, I was confused.  I thought you were the one who said he’d had 50 pairs when it was actually b limo who’d posted that.  So my question should go to him:  B Limo, what speakers have you ended up with after trying so many?

Carpathian,  I’d be interested in hearing what you have.  Anyone who’s owned so many has to have accumulated a lot of knowledge about them...

The best looking speakers
One more for JBL Paragons, Metregons, and Hartsfields.  I have a restored Metregon in a bedroom and it’s the centerpiece of the room.  Along with those classics but a current model, JBL DD67000 Everests are worthy of an art museum...
DO CABLES REALLY MATTER?
I’ve been searching for the best sound for decades and what I’ve found is that electron transport is essential but that task is performed by the cheapest connections so long as they’re not compromised by faults. Bad shielding, mostly.  99+% of the...
Anyone using two McIntosh 275's in bridged mono?
I'm using a pair of bridged 275s on my Everest 67000s and I've been very pleased with the results.  I had a little bit of worry beforehand about whether they would handle the demands of twin 15s but the proof is in the pudding.  Even at painful vo...
