Purepower APS a reliable product? @Zepher24069The new PP+ products are no better than the older units, "if" you get one that works, and can deal with PP today. And that is a very BIG "if"!My 1050 was among the last "Chinese made" PP products, when PP had a good reputation. When PP...
7.1 or 5.1 Any more than stereo (2 speakers) is BS, even for home theater!
Purepower APS a reliable product? I have a PP1050 and it has performed flawlessly for 5 years, and makes a huge improvement in unvarying sound quality. However it took 3 months to get it first shipped to me from the factory, with excuses and delays.I may be lucky! Hope it never nee...
Do I keep the Oracle Delphi IV/V? I had a Oracle Delphi MKIII with SME IV arm for years. I never was quite satisfied with the sound, and went to a VPI TNT MKIII with JMW-10 arm. Blew the Oracle out of the water sound wise, and I never looked back.Ditch the Oracle, IMO.

New SDS settings The 72 and 102V settings were originally for the TNT series motors for which the SDS was mainly intended. Maybe 72v was not enough for the more modern VPI turntable motors.Lowering the voltage after startup reduces motor noise only, and does not a...
What cables are you running with your ARC gear The ARC branded cables from around 1990 were made by Cardas without the "Golden Ratio" wire laying. At the time they must have tried many, and partnered with Cardas. I do not know what their reference wires are today.I like the older Cardas for si...
VPI classic 3 or Prime ? The Prime looks like a STEAL! Reminds me of the TNT models from the 90's which were very, very good at the time.An out board motor, and better arm than the classic 3!
Most enduring audio purchase Magnepan MGIIIa speakers! Purchased in 1987 for $1995 and still in use in my home theater. My main speaker up to 2004 when I bought Magnepan 3.6's.Deep, clean sound from 30 Hz to 40 Khz. Sounded best with GAS Son of Ampzilla, Audio Research D125, ...
