Turntable isolation...
Keep the turntable out of "line of sight" from the speakers!
Class "A" phono cartridge discussion.
Worthless list! You have to know how to setup the arm/cartridge/ turntable yourself, and judge for yourself, in your own system, to your own taste!
Does dry-brushing really do anything...
The ones with a double row of short grounded conductive carbon fiber brushes work well IMO.The original Decca and Sleeve City brushes are the ones I use. The brushes on the Audioquest are too long. The brush must be used properly. Lay the brush on ...
Pass Labs XA.5 vs XA.8
I second tomcy6.You have to try in your system.Call Reno Hi-Fi and Pass Labs.  Both will give honest answers IMO.
Is there a Blu-Ray player that does SACD and has Audiophile quality sound?
The Oppos are a little sterile sounding IMO.Sony invented Both SACD and Blu-Ray, and their top Blu-Ray players give "audiophile quality sound" IMO. Only the top current Sony Blu-Ray player plays SACDs, and is their last SACD player.Sony no longer ...
Which arms are really SOTA, and can be properly setup?
I like to have a tonearm that give flexible choice in cartridges, which I can tune to get the most out of.I agree with many of you points, I was concerned with the ability to fine tune the arm for best sound quality, easily, by the owner,  to his ...

cto517There is no "theory" in my post, just practical experience. When you say lesser arms can sound better, were the both arms you heard set up properly? And how did you know that was in fact true?
Your picks of mediocre or lousy vocals with great musicians!
Too many to name!
Mark Levinson Customer Service is the best!
They will not service ANY old products made under Mark Levinson the man himself!

Here is what you should know as basis for an arm decision Absolute “must have” mechanical adjustments for a SOTA arm! 1) Micrometer arm height adjustment that has index marks for VTA/SRA. Index marks are needed to ‘fine tune”, and go ba...
I think I've Just Seen Absolute Proof That Audiophiles Are Insanely Gullible
I have what I consider to be an costly system that I built up over the years of $50K.I think it sounds great. and has all the sound qualities described in the mags that mega buck systems claim to have.I have been to shows that have many rooms set ...
