Using Brillianize remove Static I've been using it sucessfully on CDs and DVD for a couple of years --- never even thought about using on vinyl. Unless buffed out vigorously with a high quality microfiber cloth it will leave a "smokey" haze on the silver disks. I can't imagine g...
Anyone got GR Research Super V I'm using a speaker similar to the Super V -- the Hawthorne Audio SSI Trios. The main 15" coaxial driver is well handled by a pair of (modded) Quicksilver Audio Mini-Monos. Much more info on "optimizing" these if interested.

marantz 10b and 10b tubes "Better to spend money on getting it aligned and let the tech tell you what tubes are not up to snuff."Agreed -- getting it to a good tech who knows the 10B is a very worthwhile investment for this treasure.
Well Tempered Signature turntable and arm "01-02-12: DoverI owned the original Well Tempered years ago, and sold and set up quite a few over the years. The latest golfball version is a joke. It is simply an exercise of how to reduce the manufacturing costs and claim it's better. I would r...
Audio Technica AT-33PTG vs Denon 103R cartridge Tobes: Yep, the Series II is a bit of a different animal. I haven't heard it. The coil resistance is different too - 17 ohm for the Series I vs. 10 ohm for the series II. This too could affect how well they match with various phono preamps/and SUT... |
