Center channel question ? Cancellation is unlikely. But there may be some negative effects. Side by side, with the drivers facing in slightly, in a V, you may get a mild loading or more likely still, the increased baffle surface will increase mid and high frequency reflect...
No one cares this is the anniversary? Reagan is at the top of every valedictory poll I have seen, or at least tied. I even Lexis-Nexis'd this at work to make sure. But, I have had this discussion before and its pointless. I digress, I am so proud of the Americans who fought and died t...
Is this rude? Bigjoe, Hmm lets see.#1 No, but I also wouldnt go drive a new car to figure out whether I want to buy someone else's used car.#2 If he figures out #1 he might as well.#3 Well, if you have to pen me down, I say, it depends on whether he gets #2 rig...
Is this rude? I think its great that you have reservations about your dishonesty. It shows you have real character.Tell the dealer straight up front your intentions and offer $20.00 (minimum) for his/her service provided. That is, if the speakers are set up and...
Bryston 3bsst Vs. Coda 11 "....they (Coda) definitely don't spend as much on advertising as Bryston."I rarely pickup the Mags and I have never seen a Bryston add. Could someone clarify this for me? I was under the impression that Bryston doesnt do many, if any adds. Then a...
What's good used 5.1pre/pro for $1500 or less I searched through a little reference materials on the two EAD products. I am now unsure which DACs went into what. It seems that only the "signature" model got independent PCM DACs. It appears these two models (Encore and Ovation) use a single ch...
What's good used 5.1pre/pro for $1500 or less Hmm, it would be a tough call. I like the Classe products The Anthem sounds good as well. EAD stuff is always a solid performer.I dont want get you too far off your initial topic but, since 70% of your listening is music. Do you listen to 2 channe...
return of the king Ed, he was "Saromon" the white wizard who turned evil in the first two movies.
Who Would Have Thought? Contractors, like audiophiles, have determined an optimum time for the best sonics......about 6 AM.
Pre/Pro comparison on these please. I think I will pass on that one Harry. Besides it wasnt much of a performance debate. To be honest, I am not really sure what it was, or better yet, who was served by it. Arent you a Doctor (psychology)? I thought you guys stayed busy, or has Rita...
Pre/Pro comparison on these please. 2 channel was my primary concern as well. After comparing several Pre/Pros I ended up with a lowly Bryston SP1.7 and love it. I would add this.... Several of the Processors you mentioned (and both of the ones added) perform very well. What I might...
EAD lacks power compared to Sherbourn FWIW, the input sensitivity on the Sherbourn is 1.1v (I think) and the EAD is 2.4v (again, I think). I dont recall the impedances at all, sorry. (probably in the usual 10k to 50k range)
Digital Preamp NO video switching Agw, no problem I rather enjoy it.I agree that it is acceptable (to most anyway) to waste the video switching section. You're right it isnt an easy decision and it is a potential financial wash too (A lot of Processors dont hold their value well)....
Digital Preamp NO video switching Have you put in to many hours at the hospital? Or is spring fever gone bad in Maryland? This is childish and useless but....If it isnt already obvious, some Processors do outperform others. Usually you have to triple the cost to get a solid perform...
Digital Preamp NO video switching I see this discussion has you agitated. Without being gratuitously immature. I would like to say.....To be honest, having heard all of these Processors on many occasions, in many environments, including my home. I must say (once again) that the Br... |
