Krell Moves to new location
who is ultimately responsible for returning everyone’s equipment and where is the money to do it going to come from? Owners will likely receive a freight bill payable upfront.
Can you recommend Jazz for some one that doesn't like Jazz?
@allenf1963  Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven is fantastic. I got it some 20 years ago, my first GYBE album. Later I put it on my son's musical radar, because that's what dads do :) Sorry about the cancellation, hope you catch them...

@allenf1963  Funny you mention GYBE, my kid just caught them live in Montreal. He loved it. He texted me he loved opening act BIG|BRAVE too, so I took a delve and I liked what I heard a lot. Reminds me of an Acid King / Melvins mashup, if that ma...
Starting my showroom again
Here is my one-and-a-half cent The hifi business is similar to the fashion business in many ways. Online Chinese own most of it. Prestige brands make fortunes overseas while their traditional former customers while their days in assisted-living f...

@allenf1963 I am not really a fan of jazz either, although I’ve been known to dabble in the ambient / French / Brazilian subgenres I just wanted to say thanks for recommending Bohren & der Club of Gore. I hadn’t heard of them but I am reall...
Krell Moves to new location
OK folks, please take the following with a grain of a kilo of salt. I just bought a vintage Krell from a guy who works in the industry. We got to talking gear and shooting the breeze, and at some point I said good thing I can fix that Krell mysel...
Ugliest Component of the Year 2024!
@yakbob +1 And yes, Braun under Dieter Rams set a highwater mark for audio gear design. I can't really think of another brand that came close.
Amp search
What is your existing amp?
Room setting: new amp or new speakers?
@albymana  Since you're new to this, you might be best served by an incremental, cost-contained approach that lets you try new stuff yet feel free to dump it if it doesn't work out. First, your speakers need to be freed from their bookshelf gula...
Any interest in a pair of old thiel’s CS1.2
The ongoing Thiel owners' thread here on this forum might be a good place.

Assuming the principals even intend to resume business in its current form. The Buelher character blames Krell’s prolonged closure on some judicial process and claims the court’s permission is necessary to reopen the doors (and start returning ge...
Has anyone here had any dealings with Tekton, particularly their subwoofers
@deep_333 You’re asking me? Ask ASR, they wrote the tests. Me, I’m against removing comments (not 100% sure you’re accusing me of it, but it sure sounds like it). You write what you write because you think it’s valuable or righteous or smart o...

That's where the resemblance ends. The industrial trash bins clearly win on dark floor and PRAT.
Can you recommend Jazz for some one that doesn't like Jazz?
Chet Baker’s last album (the documentary soundtrack) is the one album that made me stop detesting jazz as a genre. I would also recommend Cortex.

If anyone is interested, here is the uncut version: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/tekton-m-lore-speaker-review.48732/ You don't need to read many of the 137 pages to realize that, as is most often the case with real ...
