if i could trade places...... Get your own generator, diesel preferably. Oh, and it is SardinIa of course, not Sardina and they have wonderful music there......warm regards!
if i could trade places...... I suggest Sardina, Greg, not the Costa Smeralda, but the wild part in the mountains, where there are still bandits (sometimes) and true hospitality (mostly) and some of the old people still think, that strangers are messengers of (the) God(s). Its...
Musicality" in a system? What IS that ? Greg, how true. This however is beter than nothing at all. Warm greetings to all who participated and thankyou. I learnt a lot and got new directions to ruminate on and ponder about. A great gift in itself!!
Speaker Cables - 15 Ft. or "No Wife" True, true, you're not called "Metaphysics" for nothing! You have the insight. Cheers!
if i could trade places...... What a wonderful thread Cornfedboy and from a lawyer no less.....it reminds me of a recurrent phantasy which I had in younger times of being a jazz trumpeter or a bassplayer in the days of be-bop and the "cool", or playing dixie, or singing the bl...
Help needed to set up an analog system Tell us how much you think you would like to spend and we can go on from there.....Regards,
Musicality" in a system? What IS that ? Greg, I think your point is of great validity and importance. I would say, if we get an inkling of the "gestalt" of a performance, can feel something of the general atmosphere, as in your striking example, especially of course in suroundings and c...

Speaker Cables - 15 Ft. or "No Wife" Observer, please explain: what is this all about?
Speaker Cables - 15 Ft. or "No Wife" Get in touch with Robert Stein. No, he is not a divorce lawyer, but head of the "Cable Company". He is very knowledgable. You can borrow several sets of cables and try them out in your setup. You'll have to pay shipping , that's all, if you don't ...
Before They Were Famous Oh, just for my bit, its classical, it was Friedrich Gulda, and we both (unwittingly and later, wised up but unwillingly ) shared the same girlfriend, an up and coming pianist as well. Yes , glory days and so long gone.....Gulda died about two yea...
Music for "Tough Times" Oh, I forgot...and sometimes its Frank Zappa at his bawdiest best....I must unblushingly admit.
Music for "Tough Times" Kat and Frogman, my response was more to make sure, not to question, because apart from the serious stuff, which I posted above, Spike Jones is also for me a good antidote to a specific kind of the old morosity blues. By the way Kat& Frogman, ...
Musicality" in a system? What IS that ? Katharina, Frogman, thankyou! You've tought me something. I realise now, that hi-fi as a hobby has indeed to be strictly separated from the experience of actively listening to music. It's quite obvious to me, that tweaking my system, placing speak...
Lifting grounds in the system. MWP is dead on right, but so is Bob, as far as the GFIC breaker is concerned. Good old ceramic fuses are best AND you REALLY can hear the difference---if you clean them with Kontak or something similar. (Better dynamics, strange but true) |
