Amp for Martin Logan
Hi Pal. I would strongly recommend that you at least audition the NuForce 9.02's. They are only $2500. pr. and I believe they still offer a full 30 day trail period. I am currently using them to drive my Summits - with incredible results. I have o...
Anyone know where in NY area I can audition Usher?
For what it's worth...I owned the Dancer AC-10's for about 6 mos. before I went back to an electrostatic and can tell you first hand they were anything BUT cheaply made. They used the same Accuton (sorry if mis-spelled) ceramic drivers as those us...
Droplet 5.0 CD vs. modified Denon DVD-3910
Hello Larryken - no I have not, could you please elaborate? Are these internal, external? What did you replace them with? Thanks
DROPLET CD player - Best aftermarket power cable?
Also you might want to consider running your Droplet from a PS Audio P300. This all but eliminates the need for an expensive aftermarket cord, and can be purchased used, here at the 'Gon, for about the same price as an expensive aftermaket cord. J...
Please help me eliminate my phono section hum
Thanks guys - and I will try your recommendation Dogpile. So far though, it seems like it might be the tonearm and/or RCA block at the table itself? Anyone ever heard of a buzz coming from defective tonearm wire??I'll keep looking...
salk sound HT3, Linbrook Sig, VMPS RM30
I once owned the RM40 and auditioned the Salk HT3's quite extensively. The Salks were much more coherent and "musical", IMO. Haven't actually heard the Tyler's but have never read or heard anything but high praise for them. Personally, the deal br...
Please help me eliminate my phono section hum
1.)Comes through my mid/tweet2.)Cannot hear it when volume is all the way down3.)Has always been present4.)More like a "buzz"It is continuous. No variation. I was able to attenuate it to some degree by using an Aural Thrills "active" RCA cable fro...
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future?
Both points well taken guys. Yes, it ultimately comes down to system synergy and personal preference, not to mention finances. Scintilla, you have piqued my curiosity on the H2o's again. As Henry Ho is a such a great guy to deal with, I might try ...
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future?
Scintilla. I ran the H2o both ways, direct from my Capitole, then at the end with a TAD 150 Signature. Really could not detect much of a difference as the Capitole is designed to run amps direct with a little over 4.5 volts out, so in a sense, it ...
Best Amp Martin Logan Summit
I'm currently running my Summits with the NuForce Reference 9.02's with incredible results. While I haven't heard the amps listed, I have had some similar priced/reputable brands that didn't come close to the NuForce's. Don't let the "low" price o...
New tube amp for ML Prodigy CAT, VTL, ARC????
Also, you should audition the NuForce Reference 9.02 mono blocks. I have them now on my Summits and the match up is pure magic. Because they also have been highly praised for their incredible bass reproduction as well, they should wrk wonders with...
Jolida Envoy Preamp
Hoopster - you might also want to consider the T.A.D. 150 Signature preamp. Also has a very nice built-in phono stage, is an all tube design, sounds incredible and is usually less than $1300.Check out owner feedback from the various threads here @...
Future of analog controlled class 'D' amps?
I have to whole heartily agree with Ndeslions - the Ref. 9.02 are also the finest amps that I too have owned (& heard) and the list is l-o-n-g. I still just shake my head in disbelief at how good they sound for their price.
Nuforce
Lacee - I wouldn't put too much into the HiFi+ review. The lastest review from Positive Feedback online, by Robert Levi is MUCH more accurate, IMO, as to what the NuForce's are capable of.Ggil's thread pretty much sums up my enthusiasm for these a...
Bel Canto eOne amps - Is this the future?
Muralman1 - point well taken. You are right on the money when you state that NO amp (including the H2o or the NuForce) will be the best for anybody's system. Just too many variables, room acoustics, system synergy, AC quality, personal taste/predu...
