David99: Sorry I have been blocked out of posting again last night and today. The George Harrison album and band was "Dark Horse", also I beleive on Dark Horse Records and there may have been two albums released, but I cannot remember for sure. Th...
Cable / Upgrade Recommendation
Yes, I also used the Truthlinks on my SS setup. They were full and smooth but detailed as well.
Before They Were Famous
Here are a few and though some are a stretch they are true stories. Led Zep and Steppenwolf in parking lot concerts in or around Pompano Beach, FL maybe in 1968 or 1969 (not certain of the year and it could have been well before then, but LZ only ...
Cable / Upgrade Recommendation
An inexpensive and effective but very neutral power conditioner, IMO, is the Monster HTS-2000 which is avalable for $125.00 (discounted) online from Globalmart.com. It helped considerably with our apartment incarcerated system in LA. I am now expe...
Music trivia anyone?
David: Chilling answer, not even close. As best as I can recall the album may have been released in around 1972-73 and cannot be traced (legaly anyway) to GH.
Music trivia anyone?
Here's one that I think that I may have mentioned on a past thread. What album did George Harrison produce and play guitar on for which there was no official (and legal) credit(s) given? I suspect that he wrote all of the material as well.
One Month Music Discoveries
Todays find is: "Sisters of Freedom", Harlem Spiritual Ensemble, recorded at North Presbyterian Church, Harlem, NY. The recording level is a tad low (similar to some of my MFSL discs) but it is a very nice recording and the performances are super....

Prfont: Of course I did, are you kidding? When I get any piece of gear in my home (especially one that does not cost me anything) I audition it up one leg and then down the other. I preferred the sound of the Icon II to that of the 506.24 in my sy...
Suggestions for filling speakers stands?

Cable Arrangement Suggestions
Yes, I follow all of Delof's guidelines and will stress the importence of keeping the left and right speakers cables as far apart from each other as possible, even when they are close to the amp.
Old Philips CD as transport or new playe
Seldener: The DAC would just be the first step in your case and would give immediate gratification. With a DAC however you will have the added expense of a good digital IC as well as a good power cord and isolation components (if you involve yours...
Replacing Jumpers = Bi-wiring??
Hi Leafs: Long time no talk about bi-wire. I tried it with a pair of Castle Isis speakers and it did sound different than single wire, I didn't care for the sound though and preferred that of just using an additional piece of my Kimber Kable to ju...
Old Philips CD as transport or new playe
Seldener & Slingshot: I use the Icon MKII as a transport with the Bel Canto DAC and it sounds great. Out of curiosity I tried a friends new/used Meridian 506.24 player as a transport and could just detect a little more definition in the bass a...
