Jazz artists for late starter. When you find vocalists that you like, let us know and we might be able to add to your list of possibilities.Dave
Jazz artists for late starter. I'm here to try to answer Gawdbless' questions about jazz artists that he might like, not Oem's and certainly not the tangental Alnolan.Dave
REVIEW: Oppo DV980H Hey Dog_or_man, yes, I'm one and the same Dcstep.I think that Marantz is clearly one of the best values for the money. At $360 street price, the Pioneer Elite DV-58AV is also a great value with a much slicker user interface than the Oppo.Dave
Playback Designs MPS-5 CD/SACD Player TRL does great work.I hope you enjoy Rava as much as I do.Dave

Transistor Preamp that sounds like a Tube Preamp? Well, many of us think that good tube pre-amps are not superior to good SS pre-amps. I think SS gets a bad rap because bad SS tends to sound worse than bad tube equipment and at the lower end of the price scale both are pretty limited.Dave
REVIEW: Oppo DV980H I've had great experience with my two 981HDs. The upconverting video is good and the two-channel sound gives an excellent price/performance ratio. I didn't install any firmware upgrades, nor feel any need to.My Playback Designs MPS-5 blows the Opp...
Jazz artists for late starter. I receive enjoyment from being clear and helping others with their questions. Oem basically said that any album by any dead jazz musician would likely please Gawdbless. I beg to differ. This isn't a poll, the OP issued a request for suggestions wi...
Jazz artists for late starter. I don't need to make any arguement. Your assertion that all great and innovative jazz artists are dead is absurd and rediculous.Dave
Jazz artists for late starter. I was merely commenting on your dead vs. alive musical test. Gawdbless told us what he didn't like, so I was suggesting that we fit our suggestions within his stated preferences. So, Roy Hargrove, Dave Douglas, Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell and Enrico ...
A good DAC: AN kondo, dCS or EMM labs ? Thanks Drubin, that now makes more sense to me.Dave

Jazz artists for late starter. Oem, so Miles is ok because he's dead by Roy Hargrove isn't eligible because he's alive? Billie Holiday is ok (dead again) but not Casandra Wilson? If the guy doesn't like Ella, no way he's going to like Billie. The idea is to try to help the guy, n... |
