About Lugnut -- Patrick Malone
Hi everybody, hi Barb, hi Pat. I was surprised at how upset I was at hearing this news. Even more surprising looking at my background. I am a health care provider specializing in Lou Gehrigs Disease. All of my patients are my friends. I have seen ...
What New Cartridge should I get for my VPI?
I use a Dynavector 10X5 with my VPI and I am very happy with it. Very musical, easy to set up and your Music Fidelity should handle it fine. I have listened to cartridge's costing more but did not notice any improvement until going well over twice...
This sucks
Have all of these new pieces broken in yet? I was amazed at how bad my new Creek Classic 5350SE sounded when I got it new. A freind was over and was polite but I could see the disappointment on her face as well. I played the creek for several week...
Dynaudio Focus?
Valinar, I would also look at the SE version of the Dynaudio 52. I think it is one of the finest little speakers I have heard. I got a pair last year with a moderately priced system and they were wonderful. I have since upgraded everything and the...

Mini Monitors - Dynaudio and JM Labs
I think the Micro Utopia's a wonderful speaker, I may have sounded a little harsh on my previous post, I just wish they had a little more bass extention and then they would be perfect. I would try to avoid the idea that a more expensive speaker mu...
Mini Monitors - Dynaudio and JM Labs
My experience with the Micros was not as positive as those above. I found it a bit lacking in bass and low mids. I love cello and and it did not seem to give the fullness that even my little Dynaudio 52se did. They were much better at the general ...
Best components with Dynaudio 52 SE
You have a wonderful pair of speakers, and unless they are really beat up you got a great bargain. I have demo'd many other speakers in my home, including a pair of JB Lab Micro Utopia's and have continued to be very impressed the the 52SE. I actu...

Shunyata Hydra Users....Your Opinion please...
I have not tried a Hydra with other than Shunyata cords but I will share my experience. I was generally dissatisfied with CD's and digital playback. In the past year I purchased about 400 LP's to about 10 CD's because the sound of the CD's was so,...

Sorry Mr. Porter, somehow I thought that you had a Rockport, my appoligies. However, if you went out right away and picked one up at your local Hi-Fi store this thread could retain it's high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. dav.

Pat, It is the "All Time Greatest Hits of Roy Orbison". I just got the phono card for my new Creek Amp and am back in vinyl. It has been two days and that has been hard, though I must admit, that since I got a Hydra, digital sounds down right, acc...

Hey Pat, have you had a chance to listen to the new Roy Orbison LP. I got an copy, I have never really been a strong fan of his but this is really a nice LP, I may have to listen to a bit more of his music. The LP quality and sound is amoung the b...
what would be a good mat for a VPI SCOUT JWM9
I have a VPI HW 19Jr and I agree with Slipknot1, no mat. I clean the platter as needed with a very soft, lint free cloth and old fashioned, no additives, windex. It works very well.
