MIT Oracle AC 3 I respect Mike Morrow's cables immensely and still have his SP4's on hand. As good as the interconnects were, I am going back to MIT M1.3 Prolines...they just give me a more complete musical experience, more texture and a more realistic perspectiv...
Krell's new direct i-pod connection. Elberoth2, I am not alone by any means in describing the S-300i as sounding cooler than the 400xi(I've owned both and I still have the 400xi). The other problems were also experienced quite frequently by others and my dealer. In fact, my dealer se...
Krell's new direct i-pod connection. The S-300i was launched with a grounding problem (locked up alot) and the noise floor is very high. In addition, it is cooler sounding than the 400xi with less power. One fuse vs two on the 400xi an no XLR locks. Good feelings gone:O(
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player Hey Budt, I'd be interested in your impressions after you break her in...if it's the music your interested in then I think the Sony will make you happy:O)
Who has dumped the power conditioner? Just installed an MIT Z Super 20 Duplex Outlet to feed my Krell integrated and Sony SACD player. This is a no brainer upgrade for better sound...dynamic contrasts increased, dimensionality enhanced, instrument voicing became more realistic, high f...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5 I still have the 400xi and love it! The Stereophile review does an extreme injustice to the 400xi, which must have involved a defective unit. I've driven Krell resolution 2's and my maggie 3.6R's at concert levels with no strain, compression or di...
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player They are all great players. The Sony is certainly the value leader for sure. More important is the system they are placed into and how they are used. I like the Sony for it's overall take on things...everything balanced with enough detail and warm...
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player Kal, what do you think of the Sony after having spent some time with it? I still love mine!
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player Crimhead, I owned Levinson No. 39, 390s, 360s&37combo, Wadia 861se, MFA5, ARC CD3, Sony SCD-1, Meridian G8 and a few others. I love the XA5400ES...maybe that helps a little:O)
Review: Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD Player techradar.com has a full review and Kal Rubinson mentioned it as the best RB/SACD player he has heard to date in Stereophile. With great PC and IC it is definately not "technological" sounding.
Best Amp with Magnepan 3.6's That's cool...I love my 400xi:O) Sometimes I think room acoustics and tweaking can mean more than anything. I remember listening to my system before I put the MIT Oracle AC 2 PC on the 400xi and the Cardas kit on the Maggie crossovers, the NBS jum...
Best Amp with Magnepan 3.6's I thought you had 1.6's Magfan? The audio loom, as Art Dudley put's it, must be woven thoughtfully and with great care. No piece of equipment can overcome improper use and setup. From power cords to tweeter attenuaters to room properties....ya can...
Best Amp with Magnepan 3.6's Oh, in case Audiofeil didn't mention it, please read the Soundstage review of the 400xi by Philip Beaudette in the Dec 2006 issue online. That will give you an even more fleshed out idea of what the 400xi has to offer. Live recordings can be quite...
Best Amp with Magnepan 3.6's Audiofeil, you really shouldn't offer so much valuable information and practical knowledge to the masses for free. Such insight and wit surely require some sort of compensation. You are such a giver...and that excessive amiability you exude! I jus...
Speaker jumper cables--a type of sound? All the same cables will work some of the time, but one size does not fit all. To each it's talents, no more and no less. To accept the paradigm that having all one type of cabling for maximum effect is paramount to using a sledge hammer. |
