Neotech cables Ok, thanks, I'll make a note of it!
Fremer lays an Ostrich egg... Regarding the Bryston thing: Yes, I remember that, however it says right in the measurements section that there was an impedance mismatch. Game over. It shows a lack of tech knowledge on the part of Fremer, imo.Anyway, to me it's just a review, an...
Fremer lays an Ostrich egg... Well, then there's the Bryston 7B debacle which turned out that Fremer had an impedance mismatch between his preamp (DartZeel if I remember correctly) and the Bryston amps.Stereophile has yet to do a follow up even after I heard from a Bryston rep...
Accuphase preamps Hi Paul,Yeah, I'm glad I waited it out now. Now I can get the current model, but yeah, it will be a bit more expensive. But that's progress, right? haha.Yeah, sounds good. I did compare the C-2410 and C-2420, but not the C-2400. The C-2420 does ha...
Any feedbacks on the JBL S4700? I too am interested in the S4700s. So thanks for your review here. Much appreciated.
Accuphase preamps The C-2420 is now on the Accuphase website.Have a look...http://www.accuphase.com/model/c-2420.html
Choosing a Solid State Class A/B integrated amp I would then try Accuphase, which doubles down all the way into 1 Ohm. I wouldn't go lower in the line than an A-46 amp.
Fremer lays an Ostrich egg... I agree. The best technical performers do not always put out the best sound. I did hear these amps @ CES driving the big Revels. Thought they were ok, but no big deal, really.
Neotech cables Ok, thanks guys, much appreciated. I'll make a note of that model number. Sounds like a great cable. Now which of the speaker cables would you recommend? Thanks again.
Choosing a Solid State Class A/B integrated amp Hi John,Nice! What do you have?It is, to both. Class A is usually not cheap, however.
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following Hi Thankful,Exactly. Well said.
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following Hi Pcoombs,Thanks for the info, that sheds some light on the subject...
Choosing a Solid State Class A/B integrated amp hi Donjr,A review is to be taken with a grain of salt. Class A is the best for sound, period. I look forward to your assessment of that unit.
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following I dunno, they're rather dull and uninvolving speakers, imo.
Accuphase C-27 phono preamp Yes, you are correct. I haven't found an Accuphase dealer yet that has one on demo. Ok, cool, your description sounds good. And I will be pairing it with an Accuphase preamp and amp, so no problems there. Anyway, thanks for your reply. |
