Harbeth P3es-2 + Rel strata or Harbeth P7es-s? You should listen to Paul, he is the "cat daddy" of the comparison. I use a sub with C7s because I listen to better music than he does. [:)] The C7s go low, but if you listen to big orchestral or organ music, you will add a sub down the road, (and...
Harbeth Compact 7's and REL Subwoofer I can't comment on the REL line, but I have found the addition of a sub, (I use an M&K MX 700,) to be the finishing touch to sonic bliss. The M&K is controllable to adjust for your room and monitor's abilities, and that feature should fact...

In over my head. Almost all HT receivers will have an "A-B" speaker selection, meaning you have a choice between two speaker pairs. One can drive the LR of the 5.1, and the other can be use in his main room. The only drawback is you need to use very long speaker c...

Pipe music to kitchen Hey Jay,In my vet clinic, I use the Niles box and volume control, as you describe, for background music in the reception area and for a little company during surgery. (It would help if the phone wrang in the kitchen during the heat of battle, no?)...
Pipe music to kitchen My experience suggests that Ernie, (Suburuguru,) has a good idea. I think you might like to avoid running into the other room to control what is playing. I would also suggest that you go mono, but use a pair of speakers. There can be no stereo "sw...
Is there a cable that can warm up my sound? I will bet you money that the brightness is your speakers. That combo is not bright and a new digital cable is not the answer, either. Nor is a new power cord. You are working from the wrong side of the fence, old buddy.Charlie
If your CD's are harsh, try this Cdc, the copies are digital, unless you make a "copy of a copy" on a consumer machine, which will then be analogue. I can't tell a difference, but some big guns agree with you that they sound different and better.Charlie |
