Cartridge mount screws - stainless steel
McMaster-Carr or Turntable Basics
Blue Note 45rpm reissue
The stereo/mono issue was discussed early on in this thread. Most of the masters of these were recorded in stereo and then folded down to mono. So that is the way AP decided to re-issue this series. If the master happens to be in mono, then the re...

More questions. What is the crossover point on your sub? How low do your main speakers go?
Loricraft Record Cleaning
Emailists, thanks for the report on the AI brushes. I'll have to give them a try.
Please, reccomend "rock" cart. for under 1K
Piedpiper, I was thinking the extra weight might help decide if it is the cartridge or phono stage. It would be ashame to spend money in the wrong direction. ;-)

I wonder if you can do the TWL mod on that arm? I would also be curious what would happen with a little extra weight above the cartridge would do.

Science & Sound, Tube or Solid State Phono?
Nick Doshi does the same for his MC gain stage, SS that is. From what I understand it is not easy to do, but when done right it works very well. The rest is all tubes. I owned a phonostage once that did all of the gain stages in tubes. No SS, no t...
Sound differences between Galibier and Teres
It can be easily done. But I think you would need the custom mount, not the standard SME mount. Best thing is to contact Teres and Galibier. The only issue I know of is with the Galibier. Thom offers 2 types of armboards. The standard model has a ...
arguments against starting a vinyl collection?
Kthomas, As with any other bands releases, there may well be some that are better in format than another. I have several Radiohead LPs and enjoy them very much. But I don't think I would suggest someone go vinyl for these releases alone. Then you ...
