Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? Fiddlerontheroof Yes I think the INT-30 will meet your needs very well. It was a beautiful amp and performed admirably. I would recommend it highly.I wonder if going to separates say the XA30 with an XP20 would provide a bit more gain and texture....
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? Fiddlerontheroof I agree I need to stay with the XA series of amps as they are wonderful in their presentation. And I am sure mated with a XP 10 or 20 pre they would make a wonderful combination. And who knows I may end up with a pair of 1038 Be's...
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? Yes they are the 1007 Be's. One of the issues with the INT-30 is that it doesn't have a meter so I really could not tell what was going. With some recordings Telarc Tchaikovsky 1812 overture, the digital canons for example, I thought the amp ran o...
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? Actually the Pass revealed the Cary's short comings as well and was the better amp of the two; more refined. So I am looking to move up in the Pass line at least at this time just not sure exactly which amp / pre-amp.Chuck
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? In the end the amp went back. Just not enough horsepower to drive the speakers on larger Symphonic works. Great Amp Though and it played beyond what it's 30wpc would indicate.Chuck

Review: Herron VTSP-3A R02 Linestage That is good to hear about the MI-A's. This Pass INT-30A sounds great as well. I can't believe the quality of sound coming from a SS amplifier; much better than the Cary. And no Power Tube issues to deal with.
Review: Herron VTSP-3A R02 Linestage I have his VTPH-2 Phono Stage and like it very much; great piece. I would have liked to try Keith's amp / pre-amp but because of cost and space constraints I went with a Pass INT-30A which replaced a Cary SLI-80F1. Good review by the way.
Review: Herron VTSP-3A R02 Linestage Have you heard his M-1A mono-blocs ?
Last Preamp? Could The Search Finally Be Over? Thanks for the review. I too have the VTPH-2 and like it very much. I am running it into a Pass INT-30A through Focal Be 1007 monitors. Have you considered or tried his mono-bloc's? I wanted to try his amp / pre-amp combo but because of sapce and ...
phono cable for VPI SSm You can run any shielded cable but you may need to run a separate ground wire from the TT to the phono stage or you may produce a hum/buzz.
I feel like an idiot; lessons learned Don't feel bad I had the same experience with my Focals. I went from Thiels which sounded better fired straight out to Focals which sounded much better toed in toward the listener. I didn't realize this for a few months of having them fire straigh...
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? Mark at Reno offers a 10 day in home trial all he asks is that you pay the shipping if you decide to return it. I am really surprised at how good this amp is. I was so biased against it when I bought it figuring I would send it right back. I have ...
Pass Int-150 or Int-30A for PMC Speakers? I listen mostly to vinyl and I would say in general it is a more refined amplifier than the Cary was. I listen to the sonic performance, do the instruments sound natural do hand claps sound real. I really don't want to let the design architecture ... |
