Virtually lost, a minimalist cries out for "help." I second whatjd's comments concerning going direct. The sonics of the few cd players (Audio Aero, Wadia, Old Philips CD-80) I tried that would go dirct sounded better going thru my CJ premier 16ls II.Chuck
HELP: I need a solid state amp with a tube sound I would highly recommend Conrad Johnson MF series or Pass Labs X series. But if you choose CJ I would look for a A model such as a MF2500A. The A upgrade is much more detailed and worth the extra money.Chuck
And What Did You Get Your Wife For Christmas? Nothing, My wife and I do not exchange gifts for Christmas. We consider it a waste of time and effort with a great deal of stress thrown in. We usually get want we want during the year. However, we do buy for our 2 children who obviously treasure ...
A Preamp Question-- CJ or BAT I had a CJ 17ls before upgrading to a CJ 16ls II. I love CJ equipment I find it extremely accurate and very musically involving with a soundstage that is both wide and deep. I do not know what the others refer to as the CJ sound. Accuracy I speak ...
Amp Problem Yes, I have blown a couple fuses in the past. Do as Bob suggests, touch something (ground yourself) before touching your equipment. Chuck
Accuphase 85 or 75v...or EMC-1? Of the two players you mention the DP 75V is the better player; I have not heard the DP 85. Depending on your musical tastes; mine being classical, SACD is the way to go. The depth and breath of the soundstage especially when listening to symphoni...
Replacing/Upgrading AC Outlets MaxgainI guess you hear what you hear. But I do find it hard to believe that you can statistically tell a difference..........but who knows.Happy listeningChuck
Replacing/Upgrading AC Outlets I second the PS Audio Power Ports. I feel they are better, construction wise, than the Pass & Seymour hospital grades they replaced. Do they sound better---maybe who knows---- but they are better built and I figured for the money I have in my ...
Retiring my ML 333 for a Krell 300c or Pass x350? The Pass is extremely musical and is what I would buy given your short list. However, you should listen to each one before purchasing. Your tastes might be different and after listening you may not like any of them. I have heard Levinson products ...
Weird Question on Murray Pariah SACD Confusion CwlondonThat's interesting, I haven't heard that there are different releases in different parts of the world; but I am not expert on the subject either. You might try perusing elusive discs (www.elusivedisc.com) web site as well; or you could cal...
Can asking price be changed after offer is made? No contract take your business elsewhere. I have had this happen to me as well. It really upsets me when people do this.Chuck
noise and cj premier 15 Just call Knut at CJ.Chuck
Weird Question on Murray Pariah SACD Confusion I believe you may be refering to Murray Perahia BACH Keyboard concertos #3,5,6,7. The lable is red with a picture of Murray doing what appears to be looking into an opened grand piano.Chuck
Which hi-end Sony SACD player to buy? I second calloway's opinion; the scd-1 is the one to buy.Chuck
