linn5103/EAD Ovation/Krell5.1
The EAD is by far the most musical (warmer than the Linn) for 2 channel and music. A really excellent piece for 2 channel, plus the automated mic setups is the bomb!!!I have to agree with Newmanoc that Krell is not my cup of tea in musicality. A l...
Pass Labs x350.5 & Classe ca-m400 class a power?
Tpsonic: I agree about the sonics... get the Pass 350.5 or get the 250.5 and get a X1 preamp... Remember the preamp is just as if not more important than the amp in transparency.

Vandersteen, Coincident or Green Mountain
Check out the Vandersteen Quattro's as they are visually much smaller and I perfer them over the more expensive 5A's. No matter how good those other smaller speakers are you will miss the huge soundstage the Vandy's throw. The other speakers will ...
Burmester 001 dig pre-amp question.
I can't speaker for the burmester, but I can compare the Jeff Rowland and the Tact Preamp. The Jeff Rowland is much better by a huge margin, that being said if you Modify the TACT PowerSupply it is listenable (I bought one from aberdeen components...

Roku SoundBridge vs. SqueezBox3
I went with the SB2 and SB3 because of the slimserver freeware. But I prefer the larger Roku Display. I'm having one of my squeezebox modified. The DAC's in the SB2/3 are quite good and even better modified. www.audiocircle.com has some discussion...

$20 tweak to tame that digital shrillness
Just use EAC or Plextor Tools to rip a CD on a computer lossless and then reburn the CD... this will smooth out the top and produce a cd that is easier for your player to read assuming it reads CDR's.
