what's your Desert Island Tube amp & speakers
blindjim,If we’re going to have tube amps, we’re going to need to power them.  Just sayin.BTW, Mine would be an ARC Ref 75 and some Dalquist DQ-10’s or 20’s.JD
Its my first tube! (Preamp)
andrewkelly,Do you plan to listen to vinyl?I have had three Audio Research preamps. The three and six series are probably over you spend limit, but a SP9 MKlll might be something to look at, and it has an MM phono section.Best.JD

what would you do?
labguy,Have you tried plugging the ports with something like a dish towel? It will definitely reduce the bass. All the best.JD
If you still spin CDs, this may be the cost no object best option.
Wow, I’d love to hear this setup!  And if money was no object, the Kalista spinner and DAC would be on my test drive list. All the best.JD
Favorite Miles Davis release
Miles Smiles or Kind Of Blue have my vote.JD
What’s the best SACD you’ve ever heard?
Thanks hifiman5, I will.mcondo, I’m actually excited to hear that the first BS&T is on SACD.  The vinyl is good but the cd is really noisy.  I’ll be on the lookout for it. Thanks.JD
