Speaker Questions @okalautar , I bought a pair of mint Klispch RF3 ll, floorstanders for $200. Just another option. BTW, what does WAF stand for? I googled it, but no answer I found fit. All the best. JD
Schiit Aegir-Burn in Period 200 hours seems to be a good. That’s what it took with the Hegel H390. All the best. JD
How to keep albums playing at the same volume @russ69 , I guess I was thinking of a device to do it on the fly. The problem is that really ruins the music. Software from the past really did bad things to the music. Thanks. JD
How can I tell if I am overdriving the amp or the speakers? I am really sad to say it is my ears! Some of the music I listen to in the morning sounds good and sounds sharper in the evening. Same everything, Equipment, tunes and volume. If I keep it simple, like Bill Evans Trio or Art Pepper it is as bad, b...
Do you build anything for your high fidelity system? If so, what do you make? I have built a few racks, some sound absorbing panels, and a long time ago, I built everything Hafler sold and I still have my Dynaco Stereo 400 amp. I also built some speakers and 6 subwoofers. JD
Do you build anything for your high fidelity system? If so, what do you make? @jl1ny Looks great! What are the two boxes on the second shelf? Thanks. JD

First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s @celtic66 What do you have under your carpet and I’m guessing pad? I have oak hardwood and was told that the way the spikes work is by going through everything until it hits solid. When I asked about possible damage, the answers were all over th...
First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s @phillyb If the KEF’s were on Hardwood or similar flooring, I’d tend to agree with you, but we’re talking carpet and pad that seems to suck the life out of them. I started without anything but the plate, then to spikes (no difference) then spike...
First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s Thanks @ozzy That was my thought as well. Next, do I order the Indigo pods for my amp or is there better alternatives. JD
First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s @holes3 Billion and billions!
First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s Thanks @ozzy The bumps probably add 1/2” in height to the bottom plate, but the plate adds about 3” in the front and about 5” in width on the back and while there are currently No tubes in this system, I would still be concerned about it being ... |
