Audiolab 6000CDT
@rockysantoro  I have the 6000CDT and use it probably 4 days a week. It sounds great with my system and for the money, even the remote is pretty darn good. All the best.
How crucial is the quality of a digital cable?
@motown-l  I’m using an Audioquest Cinnamon digital cable, but they also have the Forest, which is pretty darn good as well. All the best.
New transport or repair CD player
I have a 6000 CDT and it sounds great in my system. Even the remote is good.
Old school shootout: Snell A/III vs. Original B&W 801
@erik_squires  I can’t agree with you more. The A’s we’re so right for the time. After about a year, I horse traded them for a pair of Ohm F’s which were a whole different can of worms!
Nobsound springs - load range
@noromance  I just thought of another question. I have a bamboo cutting board. Would it be better to put the four Nobsound springs under the cutting board and the put the Hegel on top? Thanks again.
Nobsound springs - load range
@noromance  I just got a set of the Nobsound springs and there’s no instructions at all. So I have two questions. First, my Hegel weighs about 44 pounds. Is 4 springs enough or should I use 5? And the second is, should I put them under the Hegel’...
Old school shootout: Snell A/III vs. Original B&W 801
Oh and Jason, My type A’s were driven by Hafler’s that were upgraded while I still had the Snells and then I got an Ampzilla. It was a big difference in sound. Not necessarily a better sound, but a different sound. Both sounded very good, but I e...
Old school shootout: Snell A/III vs. Original B&W 801
Eric,  I had a pair of Snell type A’s. They were my first BIG high end speakers and I’m betting today’s speakers are hands down better in every way.  Although, it’s been almost 50 years since I had them, so things are a little fuzzy.
Qobuz Hi-Rez Not Necessarily the Best Sound
While I’m not on Qobuz, I have found that a lot of times there is little or no difference between CD and high Res. It’s as if they re-recorded it without making any other changes. Having said that, I’m listening to Tommy in 24/96 and it sounds gre...
Enough noise reduction?
This might be a silly question and I’m not looking to start a fight, but what power cords did Denafrips use to make their measurements? Was it the cord they sent with?    I have a Pontus ll and the power cord that came with it never came out of t...
A double bass is the best instrument to pair with vocals
Acoustic Piano.
AudioQuest Vodka vs Purist Audio Ethernet Cable
@shtr74sims  What’s the rest of your system?  Until you get into a much higher end systems, a CAT cable should be the last cable to even think about replacing. Yes, I’m sure there is a difference, but even OCD Mikey said the Cat cable made the le...
Do speaker cables really make a difference ?
Depending on your system, YES. My garage system is an old boom box with inputs and a removable powercord, but I doubt I’d notice much difference changing the PC.
Whats playing on your system today?
One of my favorite albums. I’ve owned it on LP, Reel To Reel, Cassette and CD and I’m now listening to Santana, Abraxas in High Res! 😁
Any thoughts on Osborne grand monument?
That’s only $75 a pound. My KEF’s ring up at about $150 a pound?
