Just saw an ad for Art Blakey And The Jazz Messengers, Hard Drive. I’ve never heard it before, so I’m happily streaming it now. If you like A.B. & The Jazz Messengers, you’ll like this!
Denafrips 12 anniversary
Did any of you get your Denifrips preferred customer Black Friday email offering 3.5% off? Oh and it was only good for the first twenty orders. With the latest price hikes, I found it a bit of a joke.
LS50 + Sub Or Floorstander?
@paul6001  The LS50’s are great under the right circumstances, but a sub or two will take them to a whole new level! Check out KEF’s KC62.  They really play well together.  The next step up is to sell the LS50’s and get into the R series. The R5’...
Downsizing for Blade 2 and hunting for smaller floor standers
@bwang29  The LS60 is to big of a jump down, but you might try the Reference 3 or Reference 5’s.
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
I can tell you that I listened to the 803d3’s with all Macintosh  equipment. Listened for close to an hour. Simple music like the Bill Evans Trio sounded great, but the more complicated the recording, the worse the system sounded and the high end ...
Only two tracks to test your system, forever!
Joni Mitchell, My Old Man Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, The Lady Is A Tramp

And to you and yours. 🦃
Toroidal vs EI power amps any difference.
Toroidal transformers are quieter to a point, but the larger they get the more susceptible they are to DC offset. I was told it starts to be more common  in toroidal’s over 300va. They can start humming or buzzing because of anything from a space ...
Why are there so many wooden box speakers out there?
Kenjet, Please help me understand your question. You asked why companies use wood to make speakers and people have answered you. But you don’t seem to be interested in anyone’s answers. Maybe you should either try to rephrase your question or may...
Question about a set up
Everything @soix said + Check out Denon and Yamaha receivers as well. This is 2 channel with subwoofer outputs. If you’re looking to expand to home theater, they both have AVR’s   Save the sub for last.
Looking for preamp recommendation
A simple answer, would be to start looking for a Pass Labs preamp. As a general rule, companies design their products that play well with each other. All the best.
Bi-amped system
How loud do you play your system? How far off the front wall are the Virgo’s? How far are they from the side walls? How big is your room? Have you thought about using a SS stereo or a different tube amp? My memory say’s those want more power than ...
