Ozzy members who do you use for shipping OS
I just mentioned DHL on another thread. Imo, they are the best. Ground or air.
Is it too much to ask....
I wonder how many here knew the specs of their gear before walking in to buy it and how many knew walking out the door.
upscale audio is this legal?
"Verifiable" is the operative here. DHL is the way to go. Delivery is unbelievably fast. They have the second largest airline fleet in the world. But I'm referring to ground shipment. BTW, Ebm is yanking your chain. You should know by now.
upscale audio is this legal?
If he paid for something other than what he received and it's verifiable, he has a legitimate position. The law protects you from your own stupidity. If what he received is of lesser value than what he paid for, then a note to the dealer from his ...
would 50 feet speaker wires be harmful to amp?
Pssst, (8awg.) SHHHHHH
Choosing a Solid State Class A/B integrated amp
Tube amps can be fast? That's a new one for me. I clearly have a lot to learn. Can someone please elaborate on the op's statement? Not taking him to task.
Do you leave the Jeff Rowland Amp on all the time
Well, alright then. They happen to be a pair of LSR&D Leach Superamp monos designed by the late Dr. Marshall Leach of Georgia Tech. The low TIM amp with quite a large following on DIY Audio. But these are original commercially produced models ...
Do you leave the Jeff Rowland Amp on all the time
What's practical real world experience? Yours? I've got a pair of monos that take literally 3 hours to warm up. I leave them on not because I don't care but because I do. For that matter, up here in the Great White North, we pay you guys to take o...
Why do audiophiles shun feedback in amplifiers?
Oh. I guess the entire chain of events is dependent on each link to arrive at the desired destination. I never looked at it that way. Makes a lot of sense considering the limitations of each component. But then you are limited by the recording sou...
Why do audiophiles shun feedback in amplifiers?
Charles, in what sense is your goal a template? How and why would anyone disagree? What has the contention been so far in this thread? I seriously don't mean to be provocative but something's gone over my head here and "I don't know what it is".
Why do audiophiles shun feedback in amplifiers?
But at the end of the day, do we not settle for what pleases our ears? It's a given that language itself is the largest barrier to communication. So even if we were cavemen running around with clubs, grunting our needs, we would still end up with ...
I Take My Music Seriously
Good point Rockadanny. Gives me a good look in the mirror when I hear something other than my own. Like I'm meeting myself for the first time.
Why do audiophiles shun feedback in amplifiers?
Are you suggesting that there is a correlation between the descriptive definitions of musicians and various gear designers and consequently their result? Or just the systems that musicians put together vs. the rest of us?
I Take My Music Seriously
Wow. Wish I was there.
I Take My Music Seriously
Bit of a loaded question. "Too seriously" is a very subjective phrase. So is "very seriously" and so on. The closer you get to "too seriously", the less fun you're going to have. Am I having fun? Yes, until something goes wrong and I shake my ratt...
