Subwoofer Suggestion
@kulo      Just so you know, RSL does not have dealers and they do ship all over the world.  You could do three subs for $1200.  Heck, you might be happy with two!  They really are a great value.
Speaker shootout update; aggressive treble eliminating some (fairly?)
Several thoughts:Many years ago bought a pair of Def Tech BP-10's following an all to quick audition. They were bright. I had 6 CD's that sounded great. The rest not so much. Learned to hate them. They did not "break in" nor did my ears adj...
Subwoofer Suggestion
I just auditioned a pair of RSL Speedwoofers.  This is a compact 10 inch sub that has to be the best value sub for the money I have heard.  It can reach down solidly to 25hz, is compact, all for a bagain price of $400.  Shipping and return shippin...
Soundproofing
He's kinda right.  Soft batting between studs, joists will do very little.  You need mass that ideally is separated from mass.  Then find a very heavy solid door sealed on the perimeter.  And then be able to block sound that travels in air ducts.

" Selling direct to consumer saves the customer NO MONEY"Are you out of your ever loving mind??Did you forget about Eric Alexander at Tekton??  Please, add up the cost of the drivers, crossover, cabinets, and then shipping.  Look at his profit ma...
Speaker upgrade around 100k retail
Buy the Tekton Moabs, get better sound, and donate the leftover $95,500 to charity.
Marantz PM Ki Ruby vs Musical Fidelity M6si
Thanks for your kind words.  A dedicated room is a huge plus.  But don't despair.  Great sound can still be achieved in a living room. (An understanding spouse goes a long way in this situation)
Marantz PM Ki Ruby vs Musical Fidelity M6si
relative to the above comments, as I stated the 15S2 and the Ruby are two different amps in more ways than one.  @prashanth 13485, you can look at my system on this site.  I have driven multiple speakers with the Ruby combo with great results.  BT...
Loose fitting power cord.
The only helpful suggestion here was from mc.  The teflon tape belongs around the brass contacts of the IEC so that it electrically, not mechanically, has a tighter grip.
Marantz PM Ki Ruby vs Musical Fidelity M6si
A number of months back I stepped from the Marantz 15S2 series to the Marantz KI Ruby Integrated/CD player.  Unfortunately I have no experience with the MF gear.I purchased a "pre broken-in" pair and it was immediately apparent they were superior ...
Best used integrated under $5k
How can any useful info be shared when the OP did not state what SQ factors are important to him.  Likewise, not one responder saying why they value their choices other than features which anyone can look up.  Don't see much value in exchanges lik...
Magnepan, Ohm, Spatial or ??
That's good.  I have a speaker in transit that might be your ticket.  So be patient for one week and I'll get back to you.

"I feel like I need to sh*t or get off the pot, as they say. Right now here’s where I am (and this could change any minute...): "I suggest you have a really long hemorrhoid inducing BM.  Don't make a decision out of impatience. Here's a question. ...
Tekton Double Impacts
@2psyop I agree with jcarcopo.  If you are frugal (nothing wrong with that and one more reason you should consider Tekton) I would cross the Be tweeters off my list.  Better to spend the extra $500 towards the Moabs over the SE/Be upgrade in my mi...
Tekton Double Impacts
I agree, the metal perf grills would be a big plus for those in need.  The factory grills aesthetically are lacking.  Much prefer the speakers without grills.  But if I were to move my DI's into my secondary system, those curved metal grills would...
