Marantz PM Ki Ruby vs Musical Fidelity M6si
Thanks for your kind words.  A dedicated room is a huge plus.  But don't despair.  Great sound can still be achieved in a living room. (An understanding spouse goes a long way in this situation)

relative to the above comments, as I stated the 15S2 and the Ruby are two different amps in more ways than one.  @prashanth 13485, you can look at my system on this site.  I have driven multiple speakers with the Ruby combo with great results.  BT...
Loose fitting power cord.
The only helpful suggestion here was from mc.  The teflon tape belongs around the brass contacts of the IEC so that it electrically, not mechanically, has a tighter grip.
Marantz PM Ki Ruby vs Musical Fidelity M6si
A number of months back I stepped from the Marantz 15S2 series to the Marantz KI Ruby Integrated/CD player.  Unfortunately I have no experience with the MF gear.I purchased a "pre broken-in" pair and it was immediately apparent they were superior ...

How can any useful info be shared when the OP did not state what SQ factors are important to him.  Likewise, not one responder saying why they value their choices other than features which anyone can look up.  Don't see much value in exchanges lik...
Magnepan, Ohm, Spatial or ??
That's good.  I have a speaker in transit that might be your ticket.  So be patient for one week and I'll get back to you.

"I feel like I need to sh*t or get off the pot, as they say. Right now here’s where I am (and this could change any minute...): "I suggest you have a really long hemorrhoid inducing BM.  Don't make a decision out of impatience. Here's a question. ...
Tekton Double Impacts
@2psyop I agree with jcarcopo.  If you are frugal (nothing wrong with that and one more reason you should consider Tekton) I would cross the Be tweeters off my list.  Better to spend the extra $500 towards the Moabs over the SE/Be upgrade in my mi...
Tekton Double Impacts
I agree, the metal perf grills would be a big plus for those in need.  The factory grills aesthetically are lacking.  Much prefer the speakers without grills.  But if I were to move my DI's into my secondary system, those curved metal grills would...
Tekton Double Impacts
Good to hear from old friends on this thread.  I would agree with all that has been said. @2spyop, you won't go wrong with the DI, DI SE.  The Moabs will exceed budget by $500.  Wish I had the ability to tell you I have heard them side by side.  I...
Kudos to Outlaw Audio support
In this day and age of too often miserable customer support this is great to hear.  Another reason to consider their products.  Nice to hear of a good experience!
Are CD players goig the way of the 8 track, and the cassette?
No.
Upgrade to Maggi 3.7i or Tekton Moab?
I recall fond memories when as a youngster I forked out $500 for a pair of Magnepan MG-1's.  They were unlike anything I heard before.  Drove them with Hafler electronics I built from kits.  I upgraded the crossover--get this--with mylar caps!  Ma...
Albert Von Schweikert Has Passed Away
Sad news. In my limited experience I found Albert to be a true gentleman who was more than happy to spend time talking with someone even when they did not have the big bucks for his high end offerings.  In my case, it was his VR-33's, a speaker I ...
Cleaning tube pins
I would caution against using a wire brush.  This will leave all kinds of micro-abrasions that will permanently damage the surface.  I agree with your concern that some products may do more harm than good.  Hard to go wrong with a foam or cotton s...
