Fritz Speakers
The drivers used in Fritz speakers are high quality and relatively expensive.  Then factor in the cost of a real wood veneers on the cabinets, assembly time.  Well, the cost is not at all out of line.  The manufacturers you need to question are o...
Omega speakers -- mostly sold out, all the time?
@hilde45    I called Louis over a year ago.  Long story short, he custom made me a pair of Super 7 MkII's in Padauk veneer to match my Erhard Ray SET.  It took several months.  I regret sending Louis a grumpy email on the delay.  After the speake...
Warmer class D amps for magnepan?
Unfortunate integrated amps are not on your radar.  The Marantz KI Ruby would fit the bill perfectly.
Wattgate Connector Measurements
Eric, this is EXACTLY the point I was trying to make.  The point of maximum contact on the Wattgates is all wrong.  Blows me away that this stuff makes it to market.  I do not have a degree in engineering--but I could have designed a plug far supe...
My Luxman Integrated has AC Inlet Envy
Eric, re-read my post.  You're not the only one to notice this.  Your bigger problem is the poorly designed Wattgate.  If you are afraid to change the IEC on the amp(which may NOT fix the problem) , just try a better plug such as the one I listed.
Forced to DIY
Can't imagine wasting money on a plumber when so many fixes are very basic things and quite easy. Most of my Audio DIY are cable related as I like neat custom length installs on my systems.  But I have opened up electronics and done multiple repa...
My Luxman Integrated has AC Inlet Envy
My Marantz Ruby has no ground on the IEC C-14 like yours.  I have quit using Wattgates as their IEC plugs have a bad design as you have found out. Try these instead--much better pin geometry: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08332R442/ref=ppx_y...

Noise inside speaker cabinet when moving ?
@judsauce   The VR-1's you had were probably Chinese counterfeits.  Had that same speaker for a couple of days with the same problem and the sorted out they were counterfeits.  Back they went to the seller.
Amazing Classical Guitarist
I have listened to this piece many times.  But watching it being played so beautifully is so awesome.  No, not the generic awesome, but the Webster definition.  I have so much respect for musicians.  What a gift.  Thanks for posting.  I will pick ...
Replacing dead woofer on ProAc Tablette Sig 50 (NYC area)?
Great info on this thread.  Nice research. Just curious--after reading of these multiple accounts of woofers going bad I am a bit baffled (no pun intended).  Even driven to higher spl's, it seems odd to have woofers fail.  Thinking of how many vi...
Noise inside speaker cabinet when moving ?
I would not want a loose inductor rattling inside my speaker.  Others turn a blind eye.  Open it up man and fix it.  Simple.
Noise inside speaker cabinet when moving ?
Probably caused by shipping abuse. All you need is a screwdriver. Remove the woofer. Grab a flashlight. You will probably find a copper coil of wire that is not secured to the cabinet wall. Glue it back in place. Far easier than getting into a s...
Noise inside speaker cabinet when moving ?
Betcha an ice cold six pack your problem is a loose inductor.  Hot glue is not always so hot at holding things in place. Remove the woofer and check it out.
