Acoustat Electrostatic spearkers
He designed and built a replacement, but unless you already own a pair that is academic; Roger left none behind when he died in late 2019.Actually he did leave one behind. It was his personal unit and it's sitting in my living room. This one was ...
Apogee Acoustics repair Is it a waste of money to rebuild a pair of Duetta Signature's
I had considered rebuilding Apogee Duettas at one time and if they are still around True Sound Works will do a great job rebuilding the speakers, but it will cost you plenty. I eventually ended up with Analysis Audio speakers.
16 ohm speakers: any amp sounds better with more resolution. speaker cables less critical.
@rauliruegas, thanks for that information on your crossover. A very elegant solution.

Ralph, I am about to find out :-) I already know the results will be thunderous. As for a quality goes, if they are as good as the Acoustats I will be happy. If they are better then....I guess I'll jump for joy? @mijostyn, for the investment you...

Roger Modjeski always recommended "light loading" his amps and gave numerous reasons why this was beneficial. Some were mentioned by @atmasphere in a previous post. On a pair of 8 ohm speakers I run my RM10 off the 4 ohm tap. The difference is ver...

Just wanted to report back to say I finally received my Ampearl RE2030 LCR phono. The shipping took nearly 2 months to get here but after a couple weeks in my system it sounds very nice and it is very quiet as well. Quite a surprise for $800. I up...

I have Roger's personal ESLs and direct drive amp and they are quite good, but I think the ESLs fall off a bit due to their size. It suited Roger's tastes and mine for the most part, but they don't sound as big as my Acoustat Model 2 or Analysis A...

The really nice thing about it for Linkwitz owners is that you can run the various EQ simulations through the ASP just as you would in the miniDSP that comes with the speakers. Requires a bit more work but for an analog crossover it would be worth...
Danny Richie "fixes" the Linkwitz Arion loudspeaker
His friend and neighbor Nelson Pass (designer/maker of the First Watt B4, of course)---knowing that digital filtering was not going to be well received in Asia---asked Linkwitz if he wanted him to create an analog x/o for the LX541. As Nelson P...

Have you heard or do you know of anyone who have combined a non ported sub with two or more dipole design subs? If I build one folded dipole, I am certainly doing two at the same time.@rixthetrick, I currently use a DBA I set up with 8 sealed su...

@rushbutton, totally agree with active crossovers. Doubt I will ever go back to passive.
