Which DACs are known to be sweet/rich/relaxed?
deludedaudiophile ... Most of the time I don’t like to credential drop ... I have a PhD in solid state physics (which is not the same as solid state devices). I have worked in the semiconductor industry on device physics ... Don't be...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
mapman It’s a stupid and useless debate to start with. People just creating a dilemma where there is none and using that to go off on whatever topic they happen to fancy. Lots of words that translate into chaos because people have to conv...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
mahgister What surprize me is that you act like children and propose me "thorazine" or something else not "amazing" at all... I used to be surprised by such antics but that was long ago. It's silly to argue with those who employ ad hominem a...
FM Antenna
You need to use a 300 ohm balanced to 75 ohm transformer like this.
Just got started on Qobuz. Can anyone recommend an album or song?
lordmelton I wonder where Qobuz gets all it’s 192 Khz tracks and albums from because, for example, The Rolling Stones or ABKCO only ever released DSD and 44.1 Khz ... Call me old fashioned but if it isn’t an official studio, artis...

I think nothing surpasses a dry, dust-free ultrasonically cleaned LP. I can't imagine any benefit from putting goop of any sort on it, either for the LP itself or for the phono cartridge.
Choosing a network player/streamer
okhunter  I was just hoping someone could report having had good experiences with the Bryston. Possibly some easy methods that I have not discovered. I dumped my Aurender in favor of the Bryston BDP-3 and I've been happy ever since....
How Electricity Actually Works
djones51 We as a species don’t know a tenth of a percent about anything? Pretty pessimistic view of Homosapiens. That depends on how you look at it. "We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us." (Al...
Does Having the Turntable Grounded Through the Right RCA Effect Sound Quality?
audioguy85 ... ground is ground. It is either grounded or it is not ... Ground does not carry a signal.  I have read of turntables that also use the phono cable right channel neutral as a chassis ground, and I think that's what @dtgarf...
"World's Best Cables" vs Audioquest interconnects
jackhifiguy I'm not a know it all ... Sorry that you're dumb. I'll agree that you certainly don't "know it all."
New arm for TW Acustic Raven one
What's wrong with your Ortofon arm? It may be repairable, depending on the issue. You might want to chat with Steve at VAS.

Has anyone heard the newest version of the Klispschhorm?
aytoomuchstuff As they say in hot rodding: "There's no substitute for cubic inches" I always heard that as, "There's no replacement for displacement."
Phono Stage upgrade to complement Dohmann Helix One Mk 2
lewm ... If you read the history of phono equalization, you find that the original tolerance for meeting the RIAA curve was +/-2db. That is not at all how the curve was specified by RIAA or any of the standards organizations. It’s possible t...
