The difference between Qoboz stream vs purchased songs
shooter41 ...there are some hi-res recordings that Qobuz makes available ONLY for purchase, not for streaming. I have noticed that sometimes when a track or an album says "not available" in my streaming setup that it is available to purchase...
Diagnosis Help: Left channel out, turntable ground leads crossed somewhere
lewm The grounds business is a red herring, IMO. If you're using a true balanced phono stage, a common ground is a major problem.

bobelton I used the continuity tester and it beeps when I touch the two rca  outer shields ... That is not normal. If a cartridge is installed, disconnect the cartridge and test it for continuity between the two grounds. There should be n...

It isn't clear what you mean when you say you measured crosstalk. Do you mean continuity?
Why are People Dumping their Audio Research Gear and What Does it Say about them?
I know a few people with ARC gear and none of them have dumped any of it. I'm keeping mine, too. It sounds as great now as ever.
Audio Research in Receivership.
co93 ... receivership is an action taken by the creditors, not ARC ... That is mistaken. In fact, based on the court filings, it may have been a surprise to the bank that this filing was made. (Although, given Suggs' delinquency, it shouldn't ...
Swiss Digital Fuse Box - "What headroom sounds like"
verafiaudio That’s kind of a Wally-thing. I long ago let this go and I just don’t enjoy arguing it out with him or others that copy Reviews ... Theft is theft. I'd never do business with this guy.

Audio Research filing for bankruptcy?
decooney It will be interesting to see if there is a way for some entity to step up and help carry this forward and not let ARC products get lost. My only interest here is simply seeing American made home audio room products survive and stick ar...
Can This Really Matter?
goofyfoot I’ll probably send the unit back to Bryston to have a SSD installed ... My thought is that having an internal SSD installed means that I could potentially loose all of those files, for example in doing a factory reset. Bryston o...
Audio Research filing for bankruptcy?
decooney I just read some notes where ARC was looking for someone to invest capital to keep them afloat and out of default with the local MN bank. The filings suggest that the major creditor has waived claims against ARC and that its claims ar...
Audio Research filing for bankruptcy?
jbl-4345 I heard mcintosh bought audio research That’s not possible. The matter is before Minnesota Judicial Branch/Hennepin County and any transaction will require court approval. That will be contingent, in part, on creditors not objecti...
Ethernet opinions
nevada_matt If the track is not able to be completely cached, error free, after a set number of tries, the app will end its attempts to play that track.   That is not how Qobuz works, at least in my system with a Bryston BDP-3 and the internet...
Can This Really Matter?
You could avoid the cable altogether and install the SSD inside the Bryston BDP-3. That's what I've done and it works perfectly.

If all this gear is new, why not save yourself some aggravation and have your dealer troubleshoot the equipment?
