The Science of Vinyl/Analog Setups celander I know several “objectivists” that won’t accept any of your claims unless you have measurements and blind tests.Who cares?I’m glad you put "objectivisits" in quotes. Real objectivists conduct their own measurement and listening tests and...

Isn't a wondeful time to be an audiophile? I've been into audio since the '70s and think that it's been a great time to be an audiophile ever since.
Not Enjoying My Turntable You have some kind of problem if your stylus routinely skips, probably related to setup. Are you sure your VTF, antiskate and VTA are good? As a next step, those are worth verifying.
Vinyl***What If*** michaelgreenaudio... having one input is better sounding than multi inputs ... systems are designed to favor one input over the others. Meaning if you tweak your system to work it’s best with your vinyl it will not sound as good with your tapes, c...
Super Simple theory on speaker cables This seems perfectly plausible. If you're correct, it's likely that there are other subtle mechanisms that are also involved here.

ARC LS25MKII I think you want to use the tape loop. The ARC tape out should go to the EQ input, and the EQ output should go to the ARC tape monitor input. This will engage the EQ when you set the ARC source to tape input.
The Science of Cables iealesConfirmation bias? Not bleeding likely. Please don’t read into what I didn’t write. I did not say I compared them. You first judged the cables based on appearance alone: "High End" means engineered for a purpose, not some charlatan's pipe c...
One Amp To ‘Rule’ Them All.... brettmcee Is no one else alarmed that on the consumer side of things that there really are no standards? There are standards, actually. Many of them. I see no cause for concern, and certainly no cause for alarm.
Beware of the cable claiming long burn in period. twoleftearsIf manufacturers stand behind their claims that their cables sound better after significant burn-in, then they should, as standard practice, offer those products fully burnt-in, not as some optional, add-on, and always more costly ...
The Science of Cables ieales"High End" means engineered for a purpose, not some charlatan’s pipe concoction for visual/cosmic appeal. Nordost speaker cables are in the YFJ [You’re Freaking Joking] category. First time I saw them I thought ...So you judged them unheard ... |
