Michell motor is noisy:what to do?
Hi Rene,What happened to Overhang? Yes I agree, I think the motor should be much quieter if not nearly silent. I feel as if I'm kind of stuck at the moment though. And to think this all started almost two years ago when the motor in my then table ...
Michell motor is noisy:what to do?
Well it took me a couple of days to post this as I had a string of audio events that kind of bummed me out. But the bottom line is Artech tells me my motor is well within acceptable standards for noise "in fact it's quieter than my personal table"...
Michell motor is noisy:what to do?
Well the fedex guy just left with my motor going back to Artech, I'll let you know what the outcome is. If they tell me it's a normal amount of noise I'm not going to be too happy.Restock, unfortunately no it wasn't just the pulley touching the ho...
Michell motor is noisy:what to do?
DC motor? I have the same problem and just spoke to Dave @ Artech (US distributor) who told me to send it in to have it looked at. Mine is still under warranty however. I have not done so yet but will post the results.Wes

Proac Response 1sc hookup
Thanks Camadeco,Let me elaborate, it's more like the jumpers are so thick they won't let the binding post tighten down enough to actually grip the spade. I'm not sure if that's what you are replying to. The speakers do benefit from biwiring?Wes

Integrated Tube Around $1000
Matthew,Yes my experiment cooled me a bit on my amp upgrade desires. Especially considering the lovefest thats been going on here lately regarding older Levinson gear. My only real complaint with my current setup is that it doesn't really sing at ...
Integrated Tube Around $1000
Matthew,I normally drive the Totems with a Levinson amp that puts out 200 watts at 4 ohms. I was trying to give the little Music Reference every chance as I really wanted to justify buying a RM200. Now I did not take db readings but I did try to k...
Integrated Tube Around $1000
I have Totem Model 1's and I recently hooked up my 30 watt RM-10 (from the 4 ohm taps) and it could NOT drive the Totems to ANY kind of reasonable level. As soon as I hooked it up it was pretty obvious that it wasn't going to work very well. I had...
Sonographe sa250
Not sure of model #'s but when CJ first released the Sonographe line they had black faceplates with a red horizontal line running the length of the component (early to mid 90's). Later models I have seen had silver faceplates and black accents (mi...
Michell Gyro SE...Light or Heavy style Clamp??
Hi, I've been wanting to start a thread but since this is here. I have two Gyrodec questions, I just got one a couple of months ago. First do you use that little felt washer that's supposed to go on the spindle between the platter and the record? ...
