Next best exponential DAC quality level?
@mapman, I am not sure that is targeted at me or others, but one must first assess who you are in conflict with. I seem to be in "conflict" with a small but very vocal set of people. Others have applauded me, and based on their other posts, I car...
How do you know when a stereo sounds good?
@mahgister ,   My home system is fantastic, I am comfortable, and drive a nice car, but you can get a great system in a family sedan as an upgrade these days. It was purely a comment about state of mind. When I am in the car, it is just me, the...
Single Ended DAC vs Dual Differential XLR DAC
@verdantaudio , I think you are interchanging balanced and differential but perhaps do not mean to. "Balanced" would refer only to the connection. Differential would refer to the circuitry.
Next best exponential DAC quality level?
@arafiq , No need for me to reply to this.   Lol @ outrage! There's only one person here who's been foaming at the mouth since the thread ended 1.5 pages ago. How dare these fools don't bow to my greatness? I am the self-appointed ethics czar ...
The Big Misconception About Electricity
@danager , I have been in this short time the target for pretty much continuous abuse. Knowing what you are talking about and not being afraid to put what you know to "paper" does not go over well. I don't see any point is reporting pretty much a...
Next best exponential DAC quality level?
Smartest man? No, but I appear to be one of the only people who acts like an adult @arafiq, as once again, your post is all about discrediting me, not addressing point by point or at all really my argument. Same tired points in a tireless need to ...
Single Ended DAC vs Dual Differential XLR DAC
@verdantaudio , The reason the circuit is duplicated, (4 chips vs. 2 chips, etc...) is driven by the need to produce the inverse for common mode noise rejection.  That extra chip does not increase resolution, etc... While that may be true in t...
The Big Misconception About Electricity
Is there an Audigon moderator in the house? Can you do anything about @tsushima1 and his trolling posts. I think we are up to about 12 now across at least 5 threads.
How do you know when a stereo sounds good?
It sounds good when you forget that you are listening to a sound system, and just get lost in the music.   That happens more often in my car than anywhere. Probably the result of there being no distractions (other than driving of course).
.? Digital Reclocking and syncing clocks does anyone know the correct Answrrsb
Reclocking cleans  digital signal  and makes it easier to read when the dac get the data puts it in a buffer then does a bunch of other things before final conversion ,in good dacs a lot of information way over my digital knowledge base .   It...
.? Digital Reclocking and syncing clocks does anyone know the correct Answrrsb
@jimob ,   I am a little disappointed in Denafrips sending you a review that says,   ll DACs are not created equal, especially when it comes to dealing with noise, jitter and USB. For example, the Holo Audio May DAC (see review) was run throu...
Single Ended DAC vs Dual Differential XLR DAC
@melvinjames , Measurements, done correctly, do not lie. Perhaps if manufacturers took their own measurements and published them, as opposed to others doing it, then sites like ASR would not even exist. As a consumer, I feel like manufacturers ar...
The Big Misconception About Electricity
This thread has denigrated into a flat earth discussion. Flat Earth followers claim that the earth is flat because it is "obvious" to their eyes, and their eyes do not deceive them (sound familiar). Then they go on to even do experiments all of wh...
.? Digital Reclocking and syncing clocks does anyone know the correct Answrrsb
Here is a big question , say you have a very good dac with over clock ⏰,    Logically, if you have a "very good DAC", but you need some external "reclocking" device to make it work properly, is it a "very good DAC"? The Denafrips clock are a ...
Next best exponential DAC quality level?
I think you have your answer @martinman. Several posters have spent now pages trying to discredit me. Not discredit what I wrote other than hand waving about $10K DACs and $99 DACs, but discredit me because I have the audacity to say, and explain ...
