Anybody heard the Jadis DA 88 Signature?
@thieliste That’s quite the compliment of the Jadis amplifier compared with the highly esteemed Vitus. I’ve only heard Jadis amplifiers in audio shows but they consistently impressed. Charles
best cost no object single unit streamer/dac combo you have ever heard?
Hi guys, @audiocanada (OP) has specifically/clearly requested information regarding "one box"  combo components and people are recommending "separate" component alternatives. I do not doubt that the separate component combinations sound terrific ...

@jond  That said I am against this tax or in favor of leaving the threshold $20K or whatever it was previously.  Yes, that was my thought as well. Just to leave it alone.👍 Charles
Coincident Line Stage Mk II vs Audio Research ref 10
The Coincident Statement line stage is simply superb sounding. I have not heard the highly regarded ARC REF-10 and have no idea how the two would sonically compare. I hope you can find the opportunity To actually hear the Coincident in your audio ...

@noromance If the tax system wasn’t such a nightmare of obfuscation and Heath Robinson complexity, it wouldn’t need to be staffed by one tenth of the nation 100% spot on!!! I have the highest regard for @jond but in this instance when is en...

DACed and Confused here...
@jond  Yes, that’s mine. I thought I had deleted that ad, I sold that beautiful DAC a month ago. The recipient of that Yamamoto absolutely loves it! I am not the least bit surprise by his reaction. It served me splendidly for 14 years. One of my ...
A blowing session????
@daveyf  but when was the last time anyone saw a wooden sax?? Almost all of the ones I know of are made of brass Exactly! I'm in jazz venues pretty often and they're definitely made of brass. As you note it is a "reed" instrument. Charles
Do people tire of audio forums?
@sns It’s nice to see you back. I suspected that you had gravitated toward forums that are more esoteric/DIY centric and delve deeper into the weeds.😊 Charles
A blowing session????
@crustycoot  I never developed the ear for the saxophonist’s individuality as you describe it, but I do have that ear for the electric guitar masters Yes, it depends on what you spend a lot of time listening to. I could not do that with rock g...
A blowing session????
@stuartk As to why he embraced Fusion, I’ve also read he was financially motivated but at the same time, genuinely enjoyed the music of of Hendrix and Sly. Plus, he was creatively restless; it was only natural that he would not stay in one plac...
