CLASS A POWER RATINGS
@sngreen  By default SET/SEP  is 100% pure class A operation. But as has been pointed out above,  you can have pure class A push pull amplifiers that do not utilize any class B operation. Charles
CLASS A POWER RATINGS
@dynamiclinearity It’s hard, expensive and difficult to make a push/pull amp of any power that stays class A essentially all the time. The only one I can think of was the Mark Levinson ML2 amp of decades ago It was huge and yet only rated at ...
CLASS A POWER RATINGS
@atmasphere The technology hasn’t advanced in this regard. When a class A amp can double its power into half the load impedance, its simply because its built to be able to do that. The technology to do that has been around for decades +1 Thi...
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@tennisdoc56  This is what I use. Nikola II.
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
Well, Pro-Ject makes their own optional LPS. Many RS2T owners are very happy with the LTA (Linear Tube Audio) LPS. I’m very happy with the Fidelizer Nikola II LPS. I do not believe that you could go wrong with any of these 3. Charles
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@tennisdoc56 Next consideration is the value of upgrading power supplying Yep! That’s an individual decision. Excellent as is, but can be pushed further with a high quality LPS. I listen usually 4 days a week for 4 to 5 hours on average. Most...

CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@tennisdoc56 Thanks! Charles
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@tennisdoc56 If you don’t mind, what DAC and music server/streamer are you using? The RS2T sounds excellent with its standard wall wart power supply, yet improves further with an external LPS substitution. I purchased my RS2T from Underwood Hifi...
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@langla4 Probably not adding much to the discussion but I have a PS Audio transport with a Brinkmann Nyquist DAC. We couldn’t be more pleased. Plus, I picked up the transport used. I believe you. I owned the P.S. Audio PWT for 12 very happy y...
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE
@bigkidz The CEC TL3N is excellent, and the Project Audio transport was our favorite that simply was an instant sonic difference maker in about three system we tried it in. There was no going back and forth, it was simply the nicest sounding of...
Lumin X1 and Upgraded DC umbilical cord for power supply.
@ozzy  Okay, I understand. Hopefully the sound quality it provides will be more than worth the aggravation of placing the umbilical cable. Charles
Lumin X1 and Upgraded DC umbilical cord for power supply.
Boy, what a PITA it is to connect the cable to the Lumin proper! What a design! Took a little swearing... ozzy Isn't it a plug-in connector with pins? What makes it a difficult task ? Just curious. Going from a rating of 3 to 8 is quite the ...
Lumin X1 and Upgraded DC umbilical cord for power supply.
The Audio Sensibility DC cable uses cryogenically treated Teflon insulated OCC silver. This is the same OCC silver used in premium audio cables such as the Wireworld Platinum Eclipse 8 line. OCC silver is very expensive and is the primary materi...
845 or 300b with Agalme?
@52tiger Sonically, best I’ve owned. Really can hear the emotion in the music.   it’s a little embarrassing but actually teared up a couple times. Perfectly understood. The genuinely good audio components elicit this type of response/r...
