Four MC Phono Cartridges
Any of those modern AT will be better than Zu Denon, and perfect for your tonearm. ART series is better than OC9 series. Go for it, great bargains.
Where to go from Grado Gold?
-Nagaoka is a low compliance MP cartridge, its compliance is too low for MM, better for higher mass tonearms.  -Audio-Technica are mid compliance MM cartridges just like Garrott, will work nicely on almost any modern tonearms.-Original Grace is a ...

Just being curious, would it hurt to make my own ground cable? I have a single 5 foot strand of Audioquest Type-4. What if I twist all four conductors together and crimp on a spade? You don't have to twist 4, ground wire can be single wire sol...

You have to check the manual for MM cartridge where you will see operation conditions such as load resistance of the phono stage (in Ohms), overall phono cable capacity (in pF) from your cartridge to the phono stage.Looking at phono cable manual y...

Standard MM input is 47k Ohms nowadays by default, very few phono stages will give optional load impedance for MM.Phono cable capacitance can make a difference for MM cartridges, use low capacitance cables.
Where to go from Grado Gold?
With your budget you could try vintage MM cartridges that you can find NOS (unused). Grace is one of them, especially when new styli available from SoundSmith as an option (if you can’t find an original stylus or when you need replacement). Anothe...
Thoughts on moving from a 1200G to Sota Saphire or above
I read recently that a low capacitance cable also help with carts. Any suggestions other than Fire IC’s that make good RCA to RCA phono IC’s? try this (you can return them for full refund if you don't like them, it’s their policy)

Phono cable can be RCA to RCA and mr_m posted in Technics thread, phono cable for “G” is RCA to RCA and easily can be confused with regular interconnect cable. The main difference of a phono cable is shield, an unshielded cable can pick up a rad...

Technics SL1210 mk7 ($900 new), separate phono stage (schiit mani cost $120).

It’s about Shielded vs. Unshielded cables, not about the separate ground wire @mr_m
Best phono stage for Lyra Etna SL cartridge?
Lyra Etna SL has internal impedance of 1.25 ohms, which is too low for the impedance range recommended for Kitsune (3-200 ohms). 1.25 or 3 Ohms it’s still very low impedance! It must be OK
Best phono stage for Lyra Etna SL cartridge?
Regarding "current mode" phono stage you can read about this one from 47 Labs. This is what I use for low impedance (as an option), but it's not necessary better than traditional phono stages, suts, headamps etc. Find what YOU like.

Try SAEC SS-300 mat, you can easily use it with any clamp on Technics. It equally good on SP-10 mkII
VTA adjustment on Technics 1200G
Chakster, You used to have the Microseiki copper mat. That is thicker and better than the 1200g rubber mat?I still have it, it’s not thicker. The best place for rubber mat is definitely not under LP.You will find Micro CU-500 mat in my system one ...
VTA adjustment on Technics 1200G
I would lower the VTA in such a case, but it is always at its lowest point. Any suggestions? In this situation:1) Thicker platter mat2) or a spacer between headshell and cartridge.
