Am I spending too much money? I am not sure if the Callisto would be all serving without a sub, but those are some really great speakers!
dvd component to dvi worth it??? In the last issue of Perfect Vision (I think) there was a big spread on DVD players from $79.00 budget to the $10k range and it was noted that very few at any price yeilded a better picture with DVI/HDMI...infact some pictures actually got worse, ...
any Sopranophiles here? I thought the premier was pretty cool, wonder what happens to big Tony.
Sonic Frontiers Hybrid pre amp question Thanks Alan for the reply.
Need help choosing spkrs I've never heard It seems for the amount you have spent before and the amount you are looking into now would justify a day or two off work and a road trip............ am I wrong?
Spikes versus Rubber on wood floor? Not that this helps but congrats on your new speaker, it should be a nice jump from your Polks!
Ruining music with a cheap sub I dunno, try a Bose sub and a Vandersteen and tell us what you think. Sloppy loose bass from a cheap sub is worse than no sub at all IMO.
Heard a SOTA and I am pumped to get mine goin Thanks Sit, I have a SOTA Star/Saphire with the vac and clamp, it is fitted with a Grado Signature arm and will be using a Clear Audio cartridge. I am just too intimidated to attempt arm mounting and detailed set up untill friends come by hopefull...
Have any experience with Richard Gray power stuff? All of audio is one big grey area...whats new:)
Anyone watching the BBC Proms special on Discovery Not that I have anything to add, but I watch the HD shows and they are alot of fun...I have seen several Proms also some Opera along with many rock shows in INHD.
reference recordings check out the recordings to die for threads here.
Suggestions- High Performance TT/Arm- Rock Jazz, Not that I have been around the vinyl block a million times but a SOTA with an SME arm with a Clear Audio cart was a great fit for rock music.........very pleasing!
Acurus Act 3 vs Lexicon Processor If it is only for movies, get a Rotel 1068 and save a bunch of cash, it has great adjustments for each speaker, bass management and individual tone controls for each speaker is IMO a really nove feature. I know there are alot more expensive units ...
Beeping sound coming out of left speaker? Maybe the code is saying "upgrade me upgrade me"
Oldie, but A'gon newbie, seeks your advice The Rotel is an excellent choice for a processor, I have the 1068 and really like its options and flexibility, |
