| I'm confuse Do i need a dac for my cd player ? When you run a cd player using RCA the signal passes thru an internal DAC, like others say if you want to use an outboard DAC you are free to do so using an optical or coax digital cable (then you cd unit becomes simpy a transport) | |
| Are extended warranties necessary on plasmas? History has shown extended waranty plans on non portable items is mostly a waste, and a huge profit for dealers, in 99% of equipment failure it is usually almost imediate, so the standard warranty would be fine. | |

| What to make of my system? Yes I think that replacement might help, a Clear Audio wooden Virtuoso (sp) is going on this weekend so I am looking forward to what it offers, but to be honest it does sound pretty pleasing right now, so if it gets better then thats pretty cool. | |

| Should manufacturers lease speakers? But IN regards to westborn's idea, the buy out would make the speakers 10 to 15% over value....who wants that? Plus if the dealer in turn sells the speakers then he made alot of extra money on an already inflated price....I see no good out of this... | |
