What stereo equipment do respected musicians listen to? My ATC 40As also sound great. In fact phenomenal. The question simple enough is how many commenting about the ATC speakers actually own them? That's all. Thanks
What stereo equipment do respected musicians listen to? I simply love ‘confirmation bias’ in full swing. The confusion and obfuscation created is wonderfully entertaining if not troubling.
What stereo equipment do respected musicians listen to? I set up decent systems for the the Airmen of Note bari player Don New and for a reed player friend who played all of the major hotel/casinos in the 60s. They both had dismal setups. That’s my foray into that world. I’m sure it varies.
Please Recommend Highly Efficient Floor Standing Non-Horn Speaker Suggestions http://coincidentspeaker.com/speakers.htm Owned a pair of the Triumph monitors years ago and they were solid performers. Israel has been doing this successfully for a long time.
What was the most impactful addition to your system? Nak 500 tape deck internally biased for Maxell UDXL ll tape. Cheap NAD flat tonearm table which eviscerated my expensive Denon direct drive table, next stop AR belt drive. Weiss 501 DAC which clearly bested my Mojo Mystique' 3 which I thought wa...
For all you Bose 901 Haters! Still would like to know what music is played on the video. Thanks
Is PS Audio the only game in town for Power Regenerators? Correct, ZLC. Probably now an 8 month wait time, sorry for that. Ciao
Audio diffuser I'll bet the angle of deflection behind the speakers will also vary the affect. Straight on versus 25 degrees angle in/out, 40 degrees angle in/out. Also, the run direction, are the slats vertical or horizontal? I've seen where the slats are co...
Is PS Audio the only game in town for Power Regenerators? No experience with re-generators. Just sharing experience, that if a much lower system noise floor is what you seek, the Decware conditioner delivers in spades. Shockingly good at subtraction without dulling dynamics. What one did not perceive ...
Has your system evolved in the past 10 years? Circa 2012: Naim UnitiServe server, Decware ZLC DAC, Manley Jumbo Shrimp preamp, Mahi Mahi mono blocks, Decware Silver Stix speaker cable, Decware ICs, Merlin monitors on Sound Organization 24” massed stands. All equipment on Quadraspire SVT sta...
For all you Bose 901 Haters! Now that everyone has had their fun, can we know the artists/album? I liked that part of the presentation. Thanks
Is a cheaper DAC + Reclocker better than just an expensive DAC? Weiss 501 info perhaps addresses this. Synchronization An internal high precision / low jitter clock generator is responsible for clocking the D/A converter section. The sampling frequency of that generator is fixed at about 195kHz. The input sig...
My first tube preamp Manley jumbo shrimp bgross You're right, 10 y/o post. Anyway, the Jumbo Shrimp I lived with for 5 years and it is still viable. Upgrading the tubes, power cord and running Mahi Mahi mono blocks with Merlin Black Magic monitors was a blast. I get the pairing with ...
Audio nonsense QSA Gemstones remind me of bump dots we place on control surfaces of appliances for my wife who is legally blind. She can sort out the microwave, washing machine and dryer settings. Shiny!
Anyone using Teddy Pardo XPS for Naim nDAC and Teddy Cap for the Supernait 3? Any good? My only experience with Pardo is their upgraded PS for my Naim UnitiServe music server and it was a discernible improvement in all ways. Ran that for two years before upgrading the server. He has it all figured out. |
